LED Headlights Available on Toledo

Featured Replies

So it seems that Skoda are once again behind Seat even though they make them!

Full LED headlights are now a £1000 option on the Toledo.

Another good reason to buy the Toledo over the Rapid IMO. More standard kit and nicer options. :)

After all the messing about to get the price as low as possible there's no way I would have splashed 1000 on LED lights!

That would pretty much get you metallic, 17's, TPM, Hillhold, Heated seats and headlamp wash.

I guess the Rapid facelift will get these next year but surprised SEAT got them first!

my guess is that the Rapid wont get them and will stick with Xenons. Skoda haven't had them on he Octavia whilst the Leon has enjoyed them from launch (and they are still currently free in the technology pack offer).

Certain 'features' are reserved for certain VAG brands.

SEAT have had first dibs on the exterior lighting technology parts bin for several years now.

The Leon got LED tail lights back in 2006.

The latest Leon has full LED headlights despite no Skoda model, even the top end Superb or latest Octavia L&K getting them.

That's pretty disappointing, as has been stated considering Skoda design and build the damn things!

build yes. design?  Wolfsburg, I think, With styling differences done in Prague, Barcelona or Shanghai depending on the branding.

Blast ! and they look so nice too :(

Trouble is i don,t like the rear end of the Toledo as it looks like they haven,t changed it in years. The front is a much better look to the Rapid and Skodas boring looking grilles.

interesting, i find the exact opposite - I prefer the rear on the Toledo and the front I'm not really sure on! :)

For me, neither Rapedo is great looking really, the narrowness looks awkward, but thats probably not why people buy them. They're cheap, roomy for 4, and (in some cases) well equipped - although the options list could now push a Toledo RRP the wrong side of 20K - you'd be mad at that price

Even though they're listed as an option, they appear to be standard spec on an SE.

If you thought the SEAT Toledo couldn’t get any more stylish, you haven’t met the Toledo SE yet.

The plush upholstery comes black as standard, combined with black dash trim to create a refreshing and stylish interior. Standard equipment here includes 16” alloy wheels, full LED headlights, rear LED headlights, number plate lights, cruise control, climate control and rear electric windows. For added safety we've also added tyre pressure monitoring and hill-hold control. Further options are available on SE trim to deliver a fully-loaded model. The feature-packed SEAT Media System 2.2 is offered for one, delivering satellite navigation as well as a DAB radio and Bluetooth® audio streaming capability.

They've also updated the rear and I think it looks sharper than it did.

Interesting - Seat must have Skoda doing their marketing now... The current Toledo brochure quotes that the LED headlamps are optional on the SE. The waffle on the website says it comes as standard on the SE.... The rear LED lights are new too - very nice touches imo but just makes the Rapid look even more dated. :(

Yep I agree, it makes the Rapid offering look poor.

If it is standard on the SE, once a few of these are available on pre-reg it will be an even better bargain.

I see they've dumped the standard Amundsen / Seat Media 2.2 to try and control the price increase.

Is the Rapid not due a major update in '15?

Confusing indeed, checking out the links above the front page ad states LED headlights as standard on SE. Go on the configurator and there is an option to spec them for over £1k.

Even more confusing, LED rear headlights??? :notme:

The SEAT configurator includes all options - it doesn't take account of stuff in your model's standard spec.

A side effect of this spec change is another chance to get real bargains on the existing spec Toledo SE.  Currently several zero milers on autotrader at 11500 - 11999.

A slightly OT question (apologies but it appears we have the supreme Toledo race present in this thread for obvious reasons...) ;)

Are all the Toledo dash's and door panels, light grey? I've seen in two now and they've both been the same. Looking on Autotrader they all appear to be like this. Id assumed that there were two colours, this grey and a darker option?

I think the cheaper models are all black inside.

The SE has a slightly yuk 2 tone grey interior (with piano black insert on the '14 model).  The other option was beige which SEAT UK didnt bring in.

The I-tech has all black interior apart from grey alcantara panels on the seats and it's by far the smartest SEAT version.

I prefer the looks of the Skoda interior - Particularly the Dynamic (Sport) in red, or the Elegance beige.

Only thing i think is missing for me is the steering wheel control and voice activated phoning.
