What mpg do you get?

Featured Replies

Only getting 21mpg at the mo cos me fueling has gone pete tong.:D trip back to jabba on the cards.

33-37 on my 10 mile trip to work. 35+ on longer motorway runs. Late 20's when caning it.

Over 11000 miles I am averaging 34.8 mpg on all road types and with various loads, Climate on Auto always, best mpg was 44 on a trip from Leeds back to Manchester when the M62 was doing a steady 60ish

On my way in to work i can get around 38mpg (23 miles clearish motorway, 10 miles not too bad traffic through city centre). Comes cown to about 33 if I race everyone away from the traffic lights on the last couple of miles of Dual carriageway.

On the way home it's 43 miles of motorway all the way home. Highest achieved was 44.9 (very proud of that). M-way moves around 60 ish most of the time but towards the end can make 80-90. Usually average around 42 as long as the traffic isn't stop/start all the way along the M50. Don't use the aircon at all though - unless it's an absolute schorcher. Usually get around 400 miles to a tank.

Trip to work is 4 miles of dual carridge way and then 4 miles of city driving (sitting in traffic) and I get about 30 ish depending on how much traffic.

On a long motorway run 36, 37 mpg is about normal (have seen 42ish but nearly died of bordom).

As I live in Devon a lot of driving is on country B roads and then it gets really variable but fun ;) .

I use mainly standard unleaded with the odd tank of 97 Ron which does give slightly better economy but only slightly.

I think over all the trip computer is reporting an average of 33ish.

I would get about 32 - 36 mpg on A and B roads driving like a granny, on motorway 43 sitting at 70mph, I do find that using cruise control helps me keep the mpg up. I use my car for work and get paid by the mile so during the day I will try to get the best mpg, but after work I find my right foot gets heavy and you can almost watch the needle go down but sure its worth it.

I don't have a VRS - just the 1.8T 150bhp (estate), but I am getting 32mpg overall, on a journey which is a bit of everything (motorway, a roads, b roads, traffic) over 14 miles.

Got 8.4 mpg average on Saturday

Mind you, that was going round Knockhill trying to escape from/catch up some vRS Furbies :D:D:D
