2015 Audi RS3

Featured Replies

Apologies if this has been covered before but just read this:

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/audi/rs3/89760/362bhp-and-174mph-its-the-new-audi-rs3-sportback

Looks like abit of a beast! I know we have known this car is on the horizon for awhile now but it certainly got my interest.

If it has more drama and excitement than the current S3 then that will be a big plus.

Particularly like the twin oval exhausts.

Anyone tempted? (Aside from Bossfox lol)

  • So the last page of this thread means that anyone foolish enough to be thinking about an RS3 should just go and buy a Fabia VRS as it's just as fast then? :wonder:

  • Cables are last decade. All wireless now mate

  • The Golf R was the first car I ordered without driving first. Reading the blurb, the RS3 will be even better. However, as we all know facts & figures dont always match the driving experience I

Very nice. I like the subtle downplayed appearance too. Interesting to see how it stacks up against the forthcoming M2

:)

will it be available in traditional Hatchback instead of sportback. Im not keen on the estate look.

Could well be the car to replace the R :)

With a build time of around 6 months, this could be perfect for me, as I need a new motor in June 2016. So ordering in Jan 2016 would hopefully get all the reviews in to see how good it is against all the fresh blood of hyper hatches.

You mean 2015??

id say hes giving it 12months running to see how they perform in real world prior to ordering...

I can see this being the choice vehicle for robberies

You'll probably be able to nick it with an iPhone and a USB cable.

Not many will leave the Dealership without a Tracker Fitted,

and you might as well have a proper 'Off' Immobiliser fitted for stopping it when being pinched.

Lots of Audi & other Prestige Cars are going right from outside dealerships.

But then there are so many people with Access to cars from Delivery, then during Demonstration / Test Drives,

then after Purchase, Detailers etc,  even Tracker Installers.

Nope, my car goes back in June 2016.

The 1st cars aren't being delivered until Summer 2015, so 6 months of real world reviews and if all is good I will order one at the end of the year & hopefully get it built in time for my car departing :)

Boss,

So it could be April 2015 delivery for you then!!

1st cars being delivered to customers in Summer 2015 :)

Latest news on the RS3 on the Audi website released today -

http://www.audi.co.uk/content/audi/about-audi/latest-news/new-367ps-audi-rs-3-sportback-goes-back-to-the-future.html

Love the quote regarding settings that can be selected for the quattro & ESC via Drive Select -

"the driver can even perform controlled drifts on low-friction road" :D

Looks set for delivery in the Summer of 2015, however if past form is to go by, it's more likely nearer the end of 2015.

Reminder of the sound track!

Sorry, no high speed comparison sound tracks yet.

I wish!

Got you, misread your past post!

I'll be following progress closely, meanwhile I have decided the Cupra is going to get "sauced up" as soon as I can find someone to do it!

Do the usual suspects not do it?

Had the S4 done by Revo & I was mightily impressed.

I know Shark get rave reviews on here, & I had my vRS done by them. However I decided to go local with a Revo dealer last time and was very happy.

I know Revo are getting impresssive results with the R. Must be similar with the Cupra?

Shark haven't released it yet, but there are other options, and not just REVO. Watch this space! Either way I don't want big numbers, I want a nice linear torque profile that matches the OE shape. I'm guessing it would end up at around 330 to 340 when done, and not the 370-380 that I've seen possible.

Can't wait to get an RS3 testdrive (might be cheeky as I doubt I'll end up buying lol). I reckon the 5-cyl will sound pretty decent.

May/June 2015 apparently.

I'm tempted but wait till I see in metal

The Golf R was the first car I ordered without driving first.

Reading the blurb, the RS3 will be even better. However, as we all know facts & figures dont always match the driving experience :)

I took a gamble with the R & it paid off. I have time on my side this time, so will read the reviews first :)

Any plans to warm it up a bit? I hear rumblings from Mansfield, and of course Revo already have one out claiming monster numbers. I'd love to be able to design the torque curve myself, let the resulting power take care of whatever it comes out at; but the shape of the torque curve is the critical bit for me.
