  • Ok all done plasti diping, ended up doing the front badge as well as all badges on the back... https://www.dropbox.com/s/dekv484508qlqxb/sketch-1419763881943.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/7ckwt

  • It'll look like an octy that's just had a respray, and couldn't be bothered to stick the badges back on. But that's my opinion, and I'm entitled to it. Going the other way a guy at work has put a blac

What badges do the different version come with?

Will the tsi have a tsi badge?

Or just an octavia and 4x4 badge?

Well I did it. I'm pleased I did too.

The lambs wool mitt kept getting stuck in the skoda badge!

A new trend, felt lettering

Well, almost 12 months on and I have purchased badges again. Not sure now if I miss the badging. I'll have to put the badges back on anyway when it goes back next year (lease car) but has anyone reapplied the badges they took off?!

Sorry if this has previously been asked, are the badges just attached by sticky tape?

Looks good with just the vRS badge.

Bit like the Golfs....they just get a simple GTI/GTD/R badge on the rear in the same vain.

Yes double sided sticky pads. If you do it when the car is new its easier as they arent quite so stuck down.

Just have to take care not to damage the paintwork.

thanks

Just de-badged my 2014/15 RS today - left the RS emblem, looks much better and more practical as washmitt and MFs always got caught. Watched a bunch of videos, used hairdryer and tooth floss. The badges were real easy to remove, left the adhesive. Followed with liberal amount of Autosmart Tardis and MF just rub firmly and it peels off. Washed area before and after Tardis with rinse less wash and then used IPA alcohol. Inspected and needed to apply Tardis again and repeat process.

Can't tell badges were there except if you spray IPA you can see the alphabets, I suspect that will wear off but I'll be polishing using light compound and polishing pad.

There might be quicker ways to rmove but some of the ways like using credit card or plastic razor just seemed bigger chance to scratch the paint.

If you're considering debadging, do it now than later, the longer you wait the more chance ghosting might appear

Hi

Now here is a question for you, first your thoughts and had anyone done this? REMOVE the round Skoda badge from both the bonnet and tail gate???

I have had the other "trim!" removed on both my vRS and Monte by the dealers before I drove off the forecourt.

Look forward to your opions - maybe

Steve

What would you replace the round badges with? Isn't there badge holes on the body work?

Hi

That's down to the bodyshop, but I would assume it's going to be - welding (mig) a piece of metal in the round holes, fill and respray the hole area! Not cheep, but different!

Steve

Still prefer mine debadged

Just the shape of the bonnet that would put me off. The back would be nice.
