Yep that sounds very nice, pretty much like the Polo on the previous videos. Have you driven it above 60 mph yet to see if it becomes a bit annoying or not? We all like our cars to sound louder/sportier/xxx-ier when we're showcasing them, but maybe not when we use them as mere vehicles. I'm still not sure about the trade-off you have to accept to go for it. And then there's also the cost/gain ratio. Judging by Cobra's system for the Polo it's around 1200 pounds, and that's for half the stage 1 gains. Hmm...

yeah been up and down the motorway in it when cruising you can just hear it but if you floor it and the revs are high then yeah its loud. I'm very impressed with it though

Sounds good, very close to stock was my impression. Obviously nothing like hearing it live...

Price wise they would have to be near £500 for me to consider. £1200 for few SS welded pipes is a joke.

Catalyst, the most expensive part

2.5" piping from jetex, I am sure you can find it much cheaper!

Thanks. Well, I guess that just has to be the case with every exhaust system upgrade in general. People are probably doing this for the extra noise as well (if not primarily) so I must be the exception! I've thought about keeping the stock cat-back but then I start wondering if this will reduce the gains so back to square one! lol

I thought I was the only one that found these prices crazy for what you get in return. But unless you can make these on your own or at a friendly workshop, your choices are limited. Ahh, how much would I love to have my car serve as a test bed...

personaly I wasn't bothered that much for it being louder there just to quiet standard and not that much better with the Middle box delete. I had one chance to do the exhaust for the most gains that why I went decat non res. also I've got a lamba sensor adapter/spacer on and no light is on the dash.

Some people might put a comment after tomorrow as its the Midlands skoda meet and I'm going to it.

I guess that's as loud as it will get then, probably a bit quiter with a resonator on. Personally I wouldn't want to run a decat system unless I had a track-only car.

i think it'll be priced near the polo gti one, unless they one of the companies that they supply too do a group buy which I asked about for you all.

Sharky, yes, Jetex is not bad at all, the whole turbo back system is just shy of £1100. I still think this way too much. I'd however buy it if they had tuned headers in the package and the price was with installation, then yes!

The real gains are in headers and not after the turbo in the exhaust system.

this is a mean sounding car , have they had to modify the connections in any way to the original exhaust  or the way the exhaust bolts on I.E could i just bolt the old exhaust back on for any warranty / MOT / servicing

Just to put my two cents in. After seeing the video of this exhaust installed. I emailed Cobra straight away about how long/how much etc. Was told 4 weeks to public and that it would be near as makes no difference to polo gti one.

Cheers Ant for taking the leap and being guinea pig.

Hi, how much fully installed and how many days as I live in brighton and would leave the car with them and stay in hotel. Would only do this for a couple of days/3 max thanks

sorry only just seen this.

Yeah the exhaust is amazing it took a few weeks to get used to it. If your in 3rd at about 3k then it's loud/drowny but soon as you move up a cog or two then it's quiet. No problems at all.

There is some pictures I've put up in my build thread from what cobra sport have sent me.

All good with Cobra I guess, but I just find it so bloody expensive for what it is and what it offers as a whole. I'm going with a greek exhaust specialist for mine (much as I did for the FMIC), seen his work and looks great. Currently in discussions on the details but it will be around 650£ for a full tbe with 200 race cat and a resonator in the middle as I want to keep the extra noise as low as possible. Will update in due time...
