DSG, best in Manual or Auto in snow

I was adding to my tyre collection this morning, and was looking at maybe getting some sold, slighty over my rubber fetish and thought about my soft compound rock crawlers. But considering they were twice the price of winter tyres in the same pattern decided I would keep them.

  • You are never going to have issues because of your experience, knowledge and skills, unless you get caught out, but many never get that until they experience things for them selves.   As to looking

  • Lovely, but once people get to the top of the hill, or the bottom they often want to continue to more hills and dales, and if the road is not back to Black Top & Cleared, they are not much cope,

Hmmm?

I suppose I should have considered the sticky balls of rubber peeling off the "G" Wagen winter tyres in the summer heat, I presume this can only be detrimental to ultimate grip? or composure?

Is there a difference?

Hi guys,

Sory for my bad English.

I have been reading this mostly bad reviews about ASG gearbox, but still wants to order one, because it is cheaper than Toyota Aygo x-shift or Skoda Fabia dsg and I want automatic. And I like Skoda brand, but not sure what to feel about ASG.

I can order one here in Montenegro but there is no test car with ASG because 90% of population drive-manual. : ( So I don't know what to do.

About prices here:

For example, the cheapest Citigo ASG is 8 800 €; cheapest Aygo automatic11 150 €; cheapest Citroen c1 automatic 10 700 € (but only 2 years waranty); Fabia dsg 12 000€...

So, all these bad reviews about ASG is from 2013., 2014., but I would like to hear someone who buy car in 2016., maybe cars from this year had better ASG, improved or updated? (I hope) : ))) and maybe to hear from "old" users how asg react after couple of years? Or just to wait second generation of citigo asg?

Thank you

You have posted in the Fabia Mk2 section and they do not have the ASG gearbox.

There are threads in the Citigo section asking what you want to know.

I have not heard of any update or improvement to the ASG since they were introduced.

EDIT.

I see now you have asked the question in 15 different ASG threads in the Citigo section,

so you should have your answer there hopefully.

As multiple postings of the same topic only leads to confusion, I've removed the excess and just left the original one here.
