Boot bag hooks and pocket dividers

Featured Replies

Does anyone out there know where I can get retractable boot bag hooks and the plastic pocket dividers that fit between the rear wheel arch and the back panel for my brand new Rapid Spaceback SE Tech.

These were standard on my Fabia Scout estate but 'simply' not included in the new car, like lots of other bits !

Thanks

Ring your dealer. The boot hooks for the MK2 Octavia cost £10 can see the Rapid ones being roughly the same. Pocket divider not sure on that one

Many thanks J306TD and MickA.

Had already asked my dealer when I took the car but they say that you can't have either without having the net kit, so, I reckon that I need to go back to them or ask another dealer.

Just for info, I don't like the Rapid as much as my Fabia Scout estate. Engine (1.2 petrol) nowhere near as good as the 1.6 diesel.

No Hill Hold so keeps stalling because it's 'stop start' and revs. die out when stationery also, keep banging my head getting in as doors are not as deep.

Guess that it pays to stick with what you like but they gave me a great deal as the Rapid was in stock and my PCP was running out at the end of Feb. it seemed a good idea to get a new car now with an apparantly higher spec. for the same monthly payment.

They had the new Fabia in but I did'nt like it inside. Might have to hold onto the Rapid until the new Fabia Scout estate comes out if it does and that's not a given in the UK, then maybe change if the spec is as good as my old one.

It's horses for courses I guess...I drove both engines - loving the quiet smooth 1.2 petrol and truly loathing the 1.6 tractor - however I bought the SEAT version so I got the boot storage kit standard.

I'm way too stumpy to bang my head on it - although I hate cars like that, Dad's IS250 springs to mind (painfully).

I live in a hilly town so I turn the Stopstart off when in traffic on inclines.

I used to stall the Civic from time to time when sat at the lights on an uphill section of road because of the hill hold and stop-start. Only way to get it to go was to use what I would call excessive throttle.

If you're banging your head on the Rapid then I would give the Civic a body swerve. lost count of the number of times I hit my head or my ear which is even more painful. They require a special technique to get in and out safely.

I have got this, comes from seat altea xl.

You need to add some curry hooks - boot looks empty without them :)

I have had the same problem and since December 2016 when we bought our Rapid I have sent emails to Skoda UK and Czech Republic and have received answers ranging from not supplied on this model (despite having the slots etc) through not available as a spare part (I thought all manufactured parts had to have part numbers)  to last reply, not on the order for the car, odd because these parts are not listed as optional items!  Has anybody any ideas on how I get round this piece of stupidity?

Hi   A few things I have picked up in my eight (8) month quest for boot hooks and cubbie dividers.  a) the hooks are not retractable but a bit of a swine to fit.   B) the cubbie dividers are as stated elsewhere two dividers and three smaller supports and one larger support and last but definitely not least    c) the company to get all items Skoda are Dennis Horton of Lincoln UK  -  www.hortonskoda.co.uk -  and    -   theskodashop.co.uk  -   and ask for Matthew brilliant service excellent prices and no fuss. Hi Orchar02 and MickA.

To be honest I gave up on trying to get hold of said hooks and went to B&Q, bought two square self adhesive ones that fitted the space exactly. Not long after our local Indian takeaway closed so now redundant. We get our curry delivered now !

They worked OK until the temperature reached summer highs then they fell off but they did the job most of the time. I guess I could have screwed them into the existing holes.

Iv'e grown to like my Rapid Spaceback over the last couple of years and now it's due for a change I'm trying to find something to replace it that I like as much.

The only serious issue I have had with the Spaceback is the glass roof.

The car stays outside so in the winter if we get a heavy frost and having used the heater during the day the condensation forms on the inside of the glass and freezes into globules, which on melting drip on your head.

In the summer it's too hot to have the blind open as the glass can get very hot to touch and can burn your head if really hot.

Anyhow a small price to pay ! ! !

My change over on the PCP is at the end of this year, beginning of 2018 and so I'm looking forward to the release of the Fabia SUV which if it's anything like the current photographs on the interweb will be a real winner.

I had thought of the Yeti replacement but it's much bigger than the current one being the same size as the Seat Ateca and VW Tiguan.

My dealer is going to let me know a release date.
