Driving through towns the 365 bhp engines are only needing to produce about 40 BHP except while blowing off 99 bhp 

City cars at the traffic light Grandprix.

My good friend at the Audi dealership has gone very quiet over the last few days.

Oh! Not a word from the wined and dined UK motoring press either, post launch - thought they were like Bloodhounds

you are just stirring the pot like is the norm for me.

 

You should be pleased if there are early snagging issues identified and then engineering resolves them in this 5 Cylinder car,

if it is an Oil issue.

that is before the ever getting around to revealing for sale a 400 ps 4 cylinder TSI.

 

It is hard to see how Audi / VWG could co,ck up such a hyped models launch if they have had to suspend Test Drives over an engine issue.

If they have, then they have exceeded previous failures.

Question; Have owners of new RS3 been asked to return their cars to the dealership and or have they been told to stop driving them?

It will be worth asking on the RS3 forum of owners of the new 2015 RS,

 are there any yet had their new cars delivered?

I have not read it to see what 'owners' have been saying.

 

I see from the list of those buying them, there are more than the New 2015 Fabia owners register on this forum.

Kenny, No 8 above, JoseDB is a Briskoda member, selling his S1& Octavia vRS mk3 prior to or in sinc' with the delivery of the RS3 in July. Plus he is also taking delivery of an i120 at the same time .

If not sorted soon he and his  wife will be greatly P'D OFF!

I'm told that fix is now being tested and possibly introduced shortly.

My Audi dealer friend told me today, that they are still receiving orders since the RS3 Hiccup. One today!

Surprised how quiet the Motoring Journos have been on the current problem.

Not a mention anywhere ,unless you know better.

Still waiting more feedback on the fix status.

I'm hearing that a Software fix is in place for the RS3 . I have been asked to re-book my test drive.

Think I will be waiting to see what the R400 has to offer ,when and if available in the next 12 months. However a test drive first of the RS3 and see what it has to offer me over my R300.

Not heard anything yet mate, I'm waiting for all to calm, I won't be looking to get new car for a while yet.

I will def wait for the R400 and S4 before making any move

My dealer friend is releasing mine for a Test Drive Monday 13th p.m. but straight after we are in the R for a trip up North to The Lakes for a one night stop over and no doubt a drive routeing for fun,then onwards and upwards for a wedding in Edinburgh on the weekend.

Now that will be a nice contrasting drive, after the Beast is Unleashed for my Brief encounter of the Hot Hatch kind!

He is trying to organise a Base spec car and a spec I would desire, for a comparison, not sure yet if that will be achieved on the day

Just been looking at some new and competitive lease deals for the RS3 -

23+3 x £374.52+vat

36+3 x £359.44+vat

Both 8k per year.

Nearly cheap enough for me to consider

The 35+3 deal works out to £455inc vat per month with no deposit (total amount paid / 36). So compare that to the Audi dealer offer -

£6386 down and 36 x £449.

In round numbers that's £6k more expensive. Granted no equity etc... but £6k!!!!!
