No, this is the model for cars without DSG :)

Very nice that. I like it.

Not cheap though.

Its not, would look rather tasty though, can i justify four hundred notes and a wheel  :bandit:

I have a Flat bottomed wheel on my Westfield and I can't say I like it.   It feels awkward when turning the wheel for parking and anything over a 180deg. rotation, your hands can sometimes miss gripping the wheel when you get to the flat bit. Mine will be returning to a more normal round type later.

Ok for a race car when you only have a 360 turn from lock to lock but not for the road.

Hadn't thought of that, could i put up with it as its not that often you actually have the wheel on lock?

Thats the problem isnt it.

Worth getting on ebay and seeing how much you can get for your current one.

Its the difference in cost youd have to justify isnt it haha

I have to be honest, the flat bottomed thing in my Cupra (and same in Golf R) is a load of pretentious marketing BS. It's not a 0.8 turns lock to lock single seater so why the hell do I need a pointer as to where the wheel is? If I reallly needed help with it, I'd have used a piece of sticky tape, stripped out the seats and fitted a roll cage! In (road) use, it makes it clumsy.

They just look better IMO.

Thats a point, anybody want a leather multi function wheel, less than a year old for £200 plus postage? Nice upgrade for someone :)

Style or looks over function is not really a good thing though, imho but if it works for you then fill your boots. Sometimes boots that are very much of a style statement are Sharn, much like flat bottom steering wheels.

Like people who think Suzuki Jimmy's are for hair dressers ;) horses for courses  ;)

Very true, was that not vitaras though? But I think I get your point. Horsey people and hairdressers buy things that suit what they need or want.

You mean suzuki Jimney, surely? ;)

Only teasing, each to their own, but it gets on my tits a bit (the steering wheel that is).

They look good.

Nobody does shuffle steering anymore, do they? I bet they interrupt your flow if you still do haha.

Thankfully the seat gets reclined as soon as the test is passed.

IAM trained, so of course :)

Really?

Shuffle steering though?

It's how you are taught to do it yes. You'll fail an advanced test if you allow the wheel to slip through your hands. Think about it, if you're not gripping it you're not entirely in control.

I'd like to see someone try to do an advanced with their knees.

It's part of the requirements of driving a LCV?

Not a full on shuffle steer though.

Passing it from hand to hand yeah. In a sort of, long way. But shuffle steering is abit far haha

My dad had an Austin Allegro ( he doesn't like to be reminded of it ) and that had a steering wheel which was flat at the bottom, top and both sides. On the plus side it was the only thing on the car which didn't break! Took a bit of getting used to!

I was wondering about the flat bottomed steering wheel as an option on the Yeti I'm ordering.. It's the one from the Monte Carlo. However no one seems to know if the wheel is actually smaller than the standard Yeti one. If it is smaller I'd take it as an option as I love the go-Kart size wheel on SWMBO's Pug 2008.

Anyone out there know the size... It really is important to me. (And to SWMBO! )
