About time I added mine here - a career relocation has put a halt to changing this to a Yeti L&K so I've made a list of a few bits and bobs to get cracking with. First thing is - tonight I shall remove the Heko wind deflectors as they're doing my nut in!

Cheers

I like it as simple looking like it is - white and low.

Nice :)

Properly low.

Cheers chaps!

It's just the Eibach kit, that's all.

I reckon it needs (and may get) -

  1. LED number plate bulbs - plug and play?
  2. debadged
  3. Maxton front splitter
  4. a cheeky wee induction kit?
  5. Bumper cut and nice tail pipe spot welded on?
  6. Monte Carlo Rapid black grille surround - dealer wants £90 plus 2 hours labour at £78 - bugger off.
  7. Gloss black roof
  8. Monte Carlo Citigo flat bottom steering wheel
  9. Black skoda badges
  10. Audi TT anthracite wheels?  Mind you, not even looked in to fitment yet!
  11. Transmission tunnel mat
  12. That'll do for now!

It's a car that suits standard mud flaps (although you can't see them in the pics).  Also, I should have taken a picture of the plates I had made up ;-)

Cheers folks :-)

When you get your tt wheels drop me a message as I'd think about buying the Rays off you...

Sounds good to me.

It's the 17'' Audi TT 'fat 5' wheels that I fancy :-)

Fat 5,s are a great looking wheel :)

I thought GB bit had to be Blue?

Anyway looks good. Keeping with the theme :)

Doesn't have to be blue to be on the plate, but does have to be blue to be accepted while driving in other parts of the EU (otherwise an over-zealous Carabiniere might give you a tug & on the spot fine). To be compliant, he would have to put one of the larger GB stickers on the car as well.

Absolutely fine for use here in the motherland however.

Yup, no worried as there's something very warm and fluffy about preparing for a trip abroad and getting your GB sticker on.

Ah thanks for clearing that up Chris:)

Agree. Planning on doing the Nurburgring early next year. I'm nearly up to what Suzuki class as run in mileage:)

Well, you certainly wouldn't look out of place! There's millions of them all round the ring as race car hire jobbies.

What width are the standard Ray alloys? 7 or 7.5''? ET 35?

Thanks. How about 7.5 wide rims with ET32? Thoughts?

What tyres to fit? Think standard are 215, but 205?

Can go wider on the back :)

I think 7.5 ET 32 will stick out 6.35 (1/2 inch wider x .5 ) + 14 (46-32) mm so 20.35 mm

They should push the outer face of the wheel 4/5 of an inch further out than the stock 17s.

Search for posts by Nookiebear - he explained all this.

This looks ok? :-) Would look good and unlikely to foul anything.

I ride with that combination. 7.5x17 et32

It goes very wel. But it depends on how low you ll drop yoyr car.

If you drop any lower than me, it s better to go with 205/40/17 then the 215.

Tires rub in front some times (in my case) and in the back at one time i had to put a lot of old heavy junk in the trunk to get rid of and the tire rubbed a little too.

Look at my project: black rapid :-)

Thanks for your help. Your car looks lovely. I'm hoping to go down the same wheel route as you.
