Disable Seatbelt Warning

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how to disable the seatbelt warning when starting the vRS, with vag-com?

Another question while I'm at it, how can I read with vag-com if the skoda/audi/vw/seat car has fixed or flexible service interval?

Thanks!

It would be nice to turn that irritating seatbelt warning off I agree!

I always wear a seatbelt of course - just start the engine as the first thing i do before settling down and putting seatbelt on!

I always have my seatbelt on too, but it would be nice to turn the bloody seatbelt warning off.

It's one of the few disadvantages of the vRS :D

see my thread about dash panel coding all the numbers are on there

Hmmm - I've always been a belt-up before turning the engine on person, but then I have no seatbelt warning buzzer - so I'm thankfully not affected. I still get it when my mate next to me decides to lift the handbrake gently whilst I'm concentrating on the road, BEEEEEP! - [what the f***?] :D

I tend to start the engine before I put my seat belt on, as then if it won't start you can get out and sort it easily... :) Also gives time for the Road Angel, etc. to power up while I'm putting my seat belt on.

Mmmmmm...pointless posting... :D

Ok, the seatbelt indicator went off, but the buzzer is still on.

How can I disable it?

..... The unoffical motto of Briskoda? :D

Personally I tend to put mine on after pulling away, as I'm usually in one car park of another and quite like to be able to lean forward a lot to see if the coast is clear... but then it's on like a shot :)

In theory, you should start the engine before putting on your seat belt.

The rationale is that the riskiest moment is when you are starting the engine (the car is most likely to explode, burst into flames, or whatever), so you need to be free to get out in a hurry.

And whose theory is that, may I ask?

Hey guys please help me out with this. It is really annoying the buzz-sound 3-4 secs after starting the car.

I really want to disable this sound.
