  • @farokinha DIY for the Camera Did you again made a summary. Thus you can save money and have everything you need. Camera: Exactly, I have this camera installed itself and fits into the new crop.

  • With a question like that, and before I watched the link, I hoped whatever it was involved flames.... lots of flames....

  • I wanted folding mirrors so I could see from a distance if I locked the car or not. Well, black mirrors look pretty much the same, folded or not so I put a bright red sticker which can be seen on

I just wasted a moment of my life looking into that and immediately closed

Save your self a lot of time effort and look into the following "motorcycle lifesaver"

This kind of early adopter "safety" technology won't help in the case of massive difference in speeds, due to the registraion time,

the only thing that works for all conditions is proper looking around before manouvering.

You don't need a close sensor to see a car is beside you or approaching that close, just use your eyes, head and mirrors.

I wouldn't trust my life to such gimmickery which is pure laziness making drivers even more lazy -

and glad I learnt the proper safety technique from motorcycle riding, I guess though thats why bikers get reduction in insurance when compared to just car driving alone.

Guys.

I have coded my bolero and have connected to pins 6 and 12.

I am getting the change to black screen but no video is displayed. I have tried another camera and the same.

Any ideas??

Silly question, but the cameras have got a separate power feed to them?

Also the cameras are NTSC?

Got the camera with the boot switch and I have it hooked up to the cig lighter for testing.

Does it matter what firmware is on the bolero???

Have you got the 6 and 12 wires reversed, it will not work if they are reversed. 12 needs to be the "ground" outer shield  of the cable, and 6 the center cable.

extra info

Yes I think I have.will post a pic later showing.

6 is the top right one looking from the back

sorry but from that pic it is very difficult to see, the cable does not look to be the correct type, is it a shielded cable?

if so the shield needs to go to 12 and the centre core to 6. Try swapping them over and see if it works

Reboot your headunit with long (10-15 sec) pressing the power button on your Bolero and it will work. If it still doesn't work, reverse the cables. There's no camera picture on the headunit if the boot lid is not closed!

I used an rca cable and cut of one end and then I just crimped the terminals on to the wires

Boot is closed.

Updated head unit and long pressed power on it till it restarted.

Mine is not shielded either, that's not a problem. :)

Still doesn't work?

Have you tested the camera on your TV for example?

Do you have bluetooth on your Bolero?

Still not working.

Yes I have Bluetooth on bolero.

Will try the camera on tv in the morning.

Update camera works on tv.
