Castle Combe Action Day 25/4/15 - Track Time + Show

Featured Replies

I presume if there's car to car contact it's treated as 50:50?

Just a bucket of load tears, depends if they have trackday cover.

  • What a day! Thank you all, it was another great Brisky meet up and track sessions.

  • and THIS ^^^^ is why I book dedicated Briskoda sessions!

  • that yeti surprised me didn't know u had that under the bonnet fp!

Just flicking through my snaps now, I will upload them to Flickr and post a link in this thread shortly.

Not sure if it's the same now but I looked into it a few years ago and lots of track day insurers weren't covering Castle Combe.

My images for your perusal, only from session one as I became a passenger later in the day, great fun it was too

So many great pictures James thanks for being there and taking them all! Dominated by a certain Yeti... don't know why... :notme:

That certain Yeti did more laps than everybody else so was in front of the lens more frequently  :D

The Brisky sessions do seem more civil and I did enjoy them a few years ago but are the nuts sessions a combination of cheap entry plus with it being one of the later sessions there seems to be a "win at all costs" mentality too? Or is it just Castle Combe? I've seen vids at Brands, Anglesey, Silverstone and they seem better. The drivers seem on the whole to be more respectful. Reckon 95% of the cars yesterday were driven there and owners expected to be able to drive them home. Amazing the stupidity of some. Of course you'll always get someone who thinks they are possessed by the ghost of Senna but that video had a high concentration of people like that.

I think the increased usage of herbal supplements leave the drivers thinking they're Michael Schumacher

That shows exactly why Brisky sessions are the better ones. I'd never want to be on track with that lot

Also, Weren't the marshals cleaning up that corner when people kept putting dirt on track? What's happening in the middle of the track too?

They're building a solar farm

Amazing how many people stand there laughing but don't have big enough balls to go on track themselves.

I think those majority go to see a crash or an off.. quite sad really.

Great day yet again. Thanks to Jason for all the hard work he puts in to make this happen twice a year!!

Just out of interest who was in the Black Fabia vRS on the second session that I was following for a few laps?

Don't think it was me. Think I followed you out of the pits

You may need to be more specific. :D

At one point I caught up with a gaggle of 4 identical black fabia vRS'  approaching quarry.  I must have looked like i was hunting down a pack of them :D
