Fingers crossed for dry circuit then. Even if slightly damp you can get decent dry line forming with sheer volume of cars going around.

  • What a day! Thank you all, it was another great Brisky meet up and track sessions.

  • and THIS ^^^^ is why I book dedicated Briskoda sessions!

  • that yeti surprised me didn't know u had that under the bonnet fp!

I'll be on RSR's but I have decent tread on 'em, they will be fine if it rains :)

No wish to derail the thread but I spoke to someone who had recently done a trackday at Coombe and he reported that the track had been resurfaced (Not sure if its just areas or whole circuit) and is significantly less bumpy , especially some of the worst bumps.

Downside is the farmer who owns the middle of the circuit has installed a solar farm

Yes - I know someone who did a trackday about 6 weeks ago and he said it was quite slippy, however since then there have been trackdays and some competitive racing so I am expecting the new bits to have good grip now. :)

wouldnt want to run into a solar farm! :(

Think you would need to get it monumentally wrong for it to be a possibility

Keep it on the black stuff sunshine  :sun:

I am about switch off all the electronic helps tonight and then do some logging. Will be fun without ECU little helpers :)

jason will swith my XDS off for me on sat :)

I seem to remember seeing a vid from last year's brisky combe session where some young 'un with his girlfriend in passenger seat went off big time :)

You on about Ben when he skipped the grass past Taylor?

I've been on Federal RSR's since January! I'm not changing them now lol

Still running Maxxis.. see how they get on... light weight wheels next with RSR if I like the racing side :D

He forgot about the chicane and went straight across.

Controlled it quite well I thought.

Personally I wouldn't consider that going off big time.

That is what I will be doing, RS-R's to and from :) Even if it is wet! more fun ;)

Same here.

Decent tyres and seem to work well enough in the wet too.

I've been checking the weather forecast for the track daily and each time I look more certain the rain seems to be :D

Yes, I think I can safely say it will be damp which will be a shame but suppose this nice 3 week dry spell had to come to an end at some point.

I hope it's gone for How Fast? though.....

Damp is OK, as long as no standing water it is fun, puddles on the track - not so much fun :(

I was really positively surprised how much grip RS-R's give in damp conditions!

I used them round a damp nurburgring and they were OK. It's very slippy on the racing line there though, hopefully not the case at combe

There's a passenger seat going in the mongrel.  You just need a helmet and pay £5 to Combe on the day.

Is this still available?

Yes. Bring spare undercrackers :D

Well, the forecast looks a little more promising.  Just "white cloud" for most of the day per the met office 5 day forecast for the circuit.

Definitely fitting the OZ / RS-R combo tonight then :D
