Evening,

Unfortunately my skodas current battery has given up the go. It's not original but it's never? Been changed on the service history (ex auto lease to NHS ambulance service officers vehicle) so I was wondering what battery people advise to put in? It's a mk2 57 Octavia estate. It's now private ambulance service and has to run LEDs possibly when the engines off. So looking for something very good .

Bosch S5 096 seems to get the thumbs up on here

Varta E44 type 096 is the same battery as the Bosch S5. Got Maine from Amazon last month. £68.75 delivered

Another one for Bosch s5, Bosch and varta are the same only difference is the labels so can't go wrong with either

What is your budget?

If you want something very good then you need to be looking of a budget in the £300 range

My suggestion would be xs power. Pricey but extreemly good batteries.

If you dont mind not looking oem you can squeese a group 31 battery there which gives you options like the xs d3100 short circuit amps 5000 and ah 110
