Just curious, how long did it take from placing the order until you got to know the buildweek?

Placed my order 31. of January, and the dealer still dont know.

This is the first time Im getting a new car, so I have no idea whats common or not.

I ordered new car on the 30th Jan and was told by the dealer that the car would be in at the end of March, although he still can't give me a build week so not taking that too seriously until he can confirm the build week. I got the 0% pcp offer which only applies if the car is registered before the end of March so if he can't confirm for definitely that the car will be in on time I'll ask for my deposit back and walk away.

You could get an estimated build week within seconds of ordering, or be waiting a few weeks - it's a totally lottery of when a slot comes up in the schedule that fits your spec that only the factory control, even Skoda Uk cannot influence it.

I have a rough estimate, May or June.

I just suddenly got very impatient today. I want my 4x4. It might be because it has snowed 30cm since yesterday.... :p

I got told provisional build week almost straight away, which both times was decreased within a week, and then seemed to stay the same, having been having weekly updates all the way through.... I think gmail thinks I'm best mates with the salesman :-D

First time, ordered sat 18/10

20/10 told order accepted, build week 51

Then it dropped to week 48 about a week or so

31/12 Arrived at dealers

31/12 Reordered

2/1 order accepted, build week 9

4/1 revised provisional b/w 6

Got confirmed week 4

Built week 6

Is at port of exit now

Or thereabouts, hth

As long as I get before my vacation Ill be one happy camper

I guess the dealer will update me when he know more.

Just had a call from the dealer there to say the car is scheduled for build week 17 which would mean the car won't arrive at dealers till end of April/ early May, although he said Skoda would stand by the 0% offer. Looks like I might have to wait 4 weeks longer than I thought!
