Firstly clean the area so the sticky mounts have a clean area to stick to (I'd also remove the false floor as it'll just get in the way and you also may find you'll be getting into the boot a lot for a better angle)

Next is remove the cover which allows you access to the rear tail light (this is so you can peel the trim back and help feed the carpet up behind the trim)

Then once you've done that you need to do what I do in the video (basically pull back that trim that hangs down) its a real pain to move and it does feel like you will break it (I don't think I broke it, although it didn't want to go back in at first and was a bit loose, the other side was fine and I did the same thing but just a tad more careful..) P.s excuse the dodgy noises

Once that's done you should see this if you peel back far enough

Now you need to (but don't have to, I chose to to check it would fit) line up your carpet (you can choose to remove the sticky backs first or not, I chose to only remove the bottom sticky pads as A. I have the variable boot floor which will help secure it B. You need to tuck the carpet under the trim and C. Once it's stuck down it's stuck down, you can peel it back up but you might just peel the sticky pad from the carpet leaving the sticky pad stuck to the metal)

Next you want to feed the carpet under the trim by holding that lip back with one hand and feeding with the other

Once that's done you can hit the lip back into place (should just click back in) pop the cover back on peel back the sticky pads if you haven't already done so (if you haven't peel the carpet up, remove the middle sticky back (I wouldn't recommend this if you have the variable boot floor as the boot floor mounts help keep it in place) and stick down then remove the bottom sticky back and stick that down, the end result looks like this:

It isn't a perfect match in terms of colour but I'm really pleased with the outcome

This next part is for those with the variable boot floor

Once you've got that far line up your plastic mounts (which sit flush against the floor) get a black pen and put a mark where the screw hole will (roughly) be, it doesn't have to be neat (unless you want it neat) because the mounting will cover any mistakes you make along the way (it's hard to see in the photo as it's out of focus but the centre dot is the black pen mark)

Once you've marked it up you want to take a craft knife to it and cut out a hole and locate the screw holes

Once that's done you just need to screw the mounting points back in (as tight as they go)

Then refit the variable boot floor, I did come across a problem at first though, the floor didn't fit (of course this idiot here didn't take into account that the carpet would make the boot sides more thicker) I don't know if it will help having all the screws (when I got my variable floor from VW I was missing 2 screws but it was never an issue until now I guess) but I would assume having the final screw (if you see the top photo and look to the right there isn't a screw in that screw hole) would mean you can push the mount in further, the boot floor did fit after a bit if brute force and I'm hoping the floor will push the mounts inwards and settle overtime making it easier to remove and put back in

I suggest if you can or know how to, to fully remove that black trim that covers the rear strut mount, there are 2 sticky pads right at the top but couldn't remove the trim to stick it down

Didn't realise you could order from the dealer, thanks for letting me know, I'll post part number into the first post

At the local VW dealer yesterday, they didn't have this part number on their system (they said they had access to Skoda parts), is Z15 1NF 1307 a Skoda dealer part only? The part number doesn't come up on a search here either http://www.skodaparts.com/products

I don't even think you could order this from the dealer as its an aftermarket part and not OEM, unless someone else knows anything about this?

Definitely Original Skoda. "Kofferraum seitenverkleidung", part no Z151NF1307. I bought it from Skoda dealer Autohaus Südbeck, Cloppenburg, Germany (Cheaper than at home..).

Listed in Skodas official parts catalogue, at least here in Sweden.

Interesting, thanks for letting us know, as far as I know it's not avaliable in the UK, do you know if any specific model has it? Or is it just an optional extra?

It's listed in the accessories brochure on the Skoda Germany website as well. My local Skoda dealer could not locate the part on the Skoda UK system so I had to have mine shipped in from Germany.

 

I need to refit mine as it doesn't tuck under the mouldings properly at the top of the wheel arches.

Does it make the boot floor level with the back of the rear seats when folded?

Sorry mate, only just spotted this, the level of the boot floor doesn't change whatsoever if that's what you're asking, only difference you'll find is the extra thickness of the added carpet makes the removable false floor a little more solid in place, it still comes out and goes in and overtime it'll get easier to put in and out.
