Waiting time and discount on new Citigos?

Featured Replies

Gone for a SE auto, I did think about the elegance, but at £1000 more (well £700 as I want the sat nav anyway) seemed a little pricey for alloys (the only bit I wanted). I printed the carwow page off and I made it very clear I would go to the dealer from carwow, which I would have done if he couldn't drop the price, but he managed to match the price which i'm glad about as he'd obviously done the work in showing the car and the test drive etc . Then added cruise control, the sat nav and went for the gap. I'm guessing I could have got a better deal on the gap online, but its something I need (fell foul of not having it years ago before it was available). They had a red Monte in the showroom, it looked nice.

One thing I wasn't sure on, to spend £50 to get the space saver spare wheel (which i'm guessing comes with a jack etc??), in the end I forgot so hey ho.

  • Hi I've a CITIgo se on order should be getting it next week Got around £750 off 0% £160 down free servicing £118 a month with mats and reversing sensors based on 10k Oh and £100 cash back a Pi

  • the dealers make about £300 per car with the 0% you can get a discount but it depends on the garage. I shopped around farily heavily and ended up with a free pid on an SE, free servicing and a free

I went for the spare wheel and variable floor, also went for convenience and safety packs, bit excessive but what the heck....

They had a silver monte in Kidlington Oxford, looked really nice but it's a £500 option, I was adamant I wanted red, but am not sure now :-(

I love the Silver.

I think you made the right choice with red to be honest.

Stop it! I've already phoned through once to change spec!

Definitely get the spare wheel. It won't be too late to add it to your order.

is the spare wheel still £50? if so it's a no brainer, even if only for peace of mind...

It's £50 with the car or considerably more when you realise you need it later on.

The its £50 and come with a jack.

I called the garage the next day because I forgot about the spare wheel on mine. £50 for a full size wheel is great, they said the same wheel from their parts department is an awful lot more.

I also spent a few quid on the "entertainment pack" which is just more speakers.

I would have liked the boot lid but it cost more than id be willing to pay.

Not bad at all, mate. I put 1000 down on my Greentech Elegance (and paid gap insurance outright).

Even with £1349 down, and only optional extras being the sport stripe foils and the spare wheel, I'm still £121pm on 0% apr.

Still cheap enough for me, though, can't really complain about the price.

Sounds like you've got yourself a pretty cracking deal. :D Enjoy your car when you get it, remember to share a photo in the Citigo Photo Thread :)

Those four extra speakers make a huge difference. I was surprised how woeful the sound was in my friend's Up! with 2 speakers in comparison.

That's a good deal as green tech elegance is a more expensive car

What MGFV are you carrying over ?

Is that the final payment? If so it's 3,200 roughly!

Manufacturers guaranteed future value.   £3200?, I've got £4882 on a 5dr SE auto??

That's on 6k PA, and 3 years though?

I did notice with all the same figures the MGFV varied up to £800 between dealers.

We ordered ours in September with:

SE 5dr Midnight Blue

Convenience

Entertainment

PID

Spare wheel

Got £1000 discount, RRP 10690 and paid £500 deposit. £121/month for 42 at 10k miles.

FMGV of £4170

I think my future value on a 3dr Sport at RRP with £2300 deposit (old car) over 36 months with 8k miles and paying £97/pm was £4300!

I know I Got mine 18 months ago but I put 1k down (stupidly- should have put nowt down!!) on a sport with the 16 inch Serpens over 42 months . Got 750 discount. on 12k miles pa works out at 127 pm with a mgfv of about 4600.

Oli with all the options you got surely it would have been cheaper to get an elegance ? The options don't add to the mgfv but the elegance is worth more so you might not have paid any more or only a pound or 2 more??

why do you think you should have put nothing down? Won't your monthly payments have gone up to cover the lack of deposit? I've put my current car and £500 down, in truth I plan on buying the car outright at the end as I plan on keeping it for at least 5 years.

The elegance wasnt 0% at the time, plus the only option elegance has that I didn't add was the PID, so it still worked out more. Personally, If I was paying (Mother's car) I'd have got the elegance and had it in corrida red as that basically accounts for the difference. But there you go...

Mike, I was planning on changing the car for another one after 3 years. As it stands I'll lose that grand as there won't be the equity in the car to get it back. It would have cost me 20odd quid a month more with no deposit but I'd still have that grand in my bank.

I was speaking to my dealer about the depreciation and he said to me if you are getting a car on a pcp and you aren't going to buy it at the end put no more than a months payment down, otherwise it's money lost!

Oil, didn't realise the elegance wasn't on 0%, when I first looked I looked at an se with the PID and it was only £3 per month more for an elegance so it was a no brainer, then the sport came out.....

Just unlucky for us at the time. Think the elegance was added in 2 months later, but hey - we weren't to know!

my citigo is due to be built this week then to be picked up at the end of march. I will be very interested to see if they can actually achieve this.

If my Mii order is accurate then it was built on 11th February and at the Grimsby docks on 22nd/23rd February. Should be possible.
