Regal Motorsport Rollers Session - Results

Cheers Stu and Mike

It seems at both rollers the TDI's are all somewhat "generous" figures...

Do diesels need to be done in a different way to get accurate results? Or is my standard Fabia really 158.6bhp?

see what you mean, those standard TDI's dont half perform well ;)

good figures tho, helpfull info too to see what everyone was running

Need to remember that not all engines are the same when they leave the factory, if its a PD130 engine, then 130BHP will be the lowest figure. Some will be close, and others will have more.

Ambient air temperature, and the rollers/roller software themselves also play a part in the calculation

My octy vRS was booked at 180BHP standard but did 2 RR runs at 191BHP standard without any mods.

It does suprise me that my car gave 160.6bhp and 158.6bhp respectively. I know it has the mandatory beathing mod, and it was "driven" from new - so should be a quick 'en. But 160bhp? Thats a huge increase, and heck, thats what some people are getting with a remap. I just don't believe it.

However, all the petrol boys seemed to think there cars were coming out fairly accurate. Which made me wonder if there is something that is being set up wrongly with the diesels. I'm sure theres all sorts of methods that can be used to manipulate figures if desired ;)

I think I've mentioned this before in the SRR day thread. The guy there seemed to think that there was a compensation setting which shouldn't be used on VAG TD's
