After firmware updated poi are gone.

Depends what firmware you've updated to and from. Some firmware updates reformat the hard drive and maps/POI etc. need to be reinstalled. Also they might still be there but need reselecting in settings.

Agree with Rustynuts - check the Settings section as they may be in the unit just not switched on.

 

Failing that I'm out of my depth on upgrades but lots of people on here know them inside out.

Not 100% on this but I thought if you inserted the CD it would autorun and install maps.

 

Perhaps try a search using the search box at top of page as there are map threads on this forum about firmware and mapping updates.

 

Could also try the ICE & Security forum and see if they can help there.

Yes just insert the map DVD and it should then re-install the maps onto the new partition.

Depending on which maps version you have of course. The new firmwares use a different POI system to the old ones, and old maps with new firmware won't give you POI as they're not the same format.

I don't know what version was before update.

At the moment I have

Map version HDD 6317

SW-Version 4024

HW-Version H11

Yr maps are out of date meaning they still use the old format of POI used prior to the newer firmware you are on. If you upgrade to newer maps (v8 upwards), they should come back.

Where I can download V.11 maps?

You cannot download the maps legally and any links posted here will be deleted, the only official place to get the updated maps is your a VW Group dealer.
