Wheels offset - vRS - how far out?

Featured Replies

Here is a example of a Fabia RS Estate with Eibach springs, Bilstien B8 shocks and aftermarket front and rear anti roll bars... (minus the spare wheel and rear seats). As it stands the handling is how I would like it. Only new bushes to go in now. On the weekend this photo was taken (3 weeks ago) I finished 2nd on the Saturday and fourth on the Sunday at the State Hillclimb championship at Bathurst (Mount Panorama) in class (turning many heads).

As you can see the rear sits quite high without the weight in the back.

Here it is with the softer hatch springs in the back under acceleration.

One setup is for show... The other setup is for go.

Thanks for those pics mate. Yours as well looks to be sitting higher in the back, maybe even more than mine so I guess it's a normal thing, especially with weights off. Guess I can stop wondering about it now...!

Yep, same as mine. Higher in the back, nothing removed and Eibach springs.

How are the rear H&R springs different? I mean when I search I only find one set suitable for any MK2 vRS, that's the: H&R 29073-5  Are there different codes for the hatch and the estate? If so, does anybody have them?

H&R Springs for the Estate are 29073-6.

The difference (I assume) is 5mm higher at the rear and slightly stronger, because like the Eibach's my estate has that nose down stance. Which i think not only looks cool, but also retains passenger/clobber transportation.

I'll try and get a comparison pic up soon.

Ok, even so I have the correct ones it seems (29073-5). So it is just how it's supposed to be I guess.
