Ah that's not bad at all what size down pipe you got on standard ?

  • Author

3" decat downpipe already fitted before this system was mated to it :)

well looks like ill be fitting another piece of the 300+bhp puzzle sooner than expected, clutch is slipping on the car now, so vr6 clutch/g60 solid flywheel will be purchased next month :)

also took a cheeky pic whilst up at the petrol station first thing this morning, no vid yet sorry

That's the look I want but what are your tips Called ? I loved the tips I had on my diesel Leon as that had a miltek exhaust on so want the same tips but don't think miltek do a 3 inch exhaust setup

I had mine running on 225bhp and 231 ibs of torque and it was great, I thought I would want more but I never did, in fact due to a computer problem I have had to have the car returned to standard setting and boy do I miss that torque.

Good luck with your it looks like you have a really well looked after motor there.

cheers mate much appreciated, im not sure where mine is atm with the mods it has plus the map maybe 215ish? its certainly livened up what was a very sedate engine imo. i bet your gutted having go back to standard.

update on the clutch situation, should be purchased by the weekend and fitted mid november, i have also got to get a new battery for the car, iv always thought it was a tad weak on start up and these colder mornings have really shown it up

couple of updates for you guys sorry for the delay

not got a huge update on the car front atm, although a new battery was fitted on sunday 22nd november and this coming saturday 28th its going in to get the vr6 clutch/g60 solid flywheel fitted.
also going to either remove or refix heatshield on front of exhaust system as its rattling like anything.

the main update is that i become a father on monday 16th november at 21.38 to a cracking little boy Lennon Harry Blunt, and early reports are he loves the vrs and he is booked in for his 1st ride in my mate karl's 3dr cossie in april (weather permitting) clear.png

30th november
alright everyone thought i would head back to update on how im finding the car after fitting the vr6/g60 clutch/flywheel combo and the polybushed dogbone mount, all i can say is wow what an unreal difference clutch is much better slightly quicker revs now due to the lighter weight in the g60 flyhweel, the polybushed dogbone mount is very impressive it has removed alot of the slop in the gearbox and for the cost of £24 is a well worthy mod.

onto another very fresh update i have today purchased a 6 month old 2nd hand fk coilover kit for my car complete with powerflex top mounts for the grand sum of £150 delivered :) so a nice bargain what will finally freshen up the suspension and get it sitting just how i want it.

i also might have a deal on a neuspeed 28mm rear anti roll bar which is polybushed as well but i cant commit to it just yet, fingers crossed the fella still has it

Congratulations, welcome to the world of sleepless nights :giggle:

have to agree with you fella, im hugely impressed with the vr6/g60 clutch/flywheel combo as well

See I never drove mine with a dmf as previous owner converted it over, not sure if mines the g60 vr6 stuff or just a conversion kit, I just hope it copes after I pay r tech a visit next year

hi everyone hope your all well and your xmas preparations are all going well?

anyway thought i would update you guys on a few developments since i was last here.

first of all i have managed to purchase a full fmic kit (wellycooler) from clive at cn tuning which i will be having a trip to berkshire to get he is also going to fit it me whilst im there :)
I am also in the middle of doing a deal for a pair of leon cupra r hubs and wishbones plus the quick rack steering rack from the same car if this goes through then i will also polybush the wishbones and steering rack before fitment
The deal on the rear arb fell through so it looks like i will be buying a brand new whiteline arb with my xmas funds :)

now once the fmic kit is fitted the car is complete for a stage 2 map which should see it around 230bhp/270lb/ft ish which should keep me good until i can get the bits together for around 300bhp and over 300lb/ft :)
