I disagreed with that statement [emoji6]

So you did!

Apologies, my post has been edited to reflect the actual quote!

Now I know what Newspaper reporters must do! :p

Ha. Darrell got caught!

Hang on a mo, its says a silver Yeti, mines white, that leaves just one person............ ;)

I think there might be quite a lot of Yeti owners & drivers that do not use Social Media, forums and the likes,

even some Tuned Yeti around that are not showing in Project Builds.

Maybe some Agricultural Engineering Students out there are putting a tuned Diesel Engine in the front & rear of a Yeti for a real 4x4 Rolling Coal SUV.

I live in hope.

Does anyone on here have a tuned Silver Yeti? Not sure they do actually.

If it was a 170 4x4 it gets off the line so quickly a lot of people would think it was tuned anyway.

If you are not sympathtic my mapped 170 is shockingly brisk off the line for a slightly altered car.

One or twice I've done it I was genuinely surprised how it took off.

Agreed. An old friend used to argue that the Octy VRS 170 was quicker off the line than a Yeti 170. No chance, not even in the dry imo, let alone damp/wet. The more abuse you are willing to give it the more impressive the results off the line in the Yeti 4x4. The thing that makes the Yeti a little weapon is the 4x4 drivetrain. Wonderful thing.

Maybe 'tuned' would be a better word than developed because as you say, its my money thats been spent with 5 different companies so ill take the 'development' credit ;)

To be absolutely pedantic, the only credit you can take is providing a vehicle and some cash

The term 'development credit' is entirely the domain of those who have done the work, whoever it may have been

It was exactly the same when Shark used my vehicle as the development mule for the standard 1.6TDi.....I took no credit whatsoever

Well you have enjoyed making a fuss about your cars progress....  ;)

What goes around comes around I guess! Maybe less is more? How about "Yeti 1.6TDI Goneoutdrivinghavingtoomuchfunontheracingline?

Joking aside that's probably why people have an opinion.

By posting in the general section every time there is a change and duplicating it in your project thread you are catching a wider audience and trying to draw people's attention to the car.

It appears you have been successful. :D

Unless a 'mass debate' would help iron out a few misconceptions, maybe a healthy chat ;)
