No Cold Air from Climatronic Air Con - Regassed

Featured Replies

I'm confused now!!

So, obviously issues with weak compressors. Centre bolts coming out. So if the compressor is faulty it doesn't always log as fault? And the system doesn't always drain? Mine has been regassed, system checked no leaks in the system at all. Compressor changed 2 years ago no centre bolt visibly coming out. And yet temp not too low imho but this may be normal for these i don't know. So if my pressure sensor is faulty would this cause poor aircon temp? I wouldn't say it's blowing warm air but i ain't impressed!

  • No other fault codes. My reasoning was that if it wasn't the pressure sensor then it wasn't going to get fixed as the rest of the parts are too expensive (compared to value of car). For less than £30

  • So how did you know the compressor and condensor were at fault? Or was it just a case of taking bits off and checking?

  • No idea what equipment they used.   They charged £72 for full diagnosis.    I think they did a nitrogen pressure test to identify that the compressor was leaking and screwed.

How much did they charge to diagnose, scoop?

And do you know what they used, ie different to vcds?

I'm assuming it wasn't a Kwik fit / Halfords type place.

Cheers.

Hey Softscoop,

Been reading through the thread. I seem to have the exact same problem now.... How did it all end?

In the end I replaced the compressor and condenser.

Problem solved.
