2 Questions:

1. Is this easy to fit (I have novice pikey experience, don't want to remove bumpers or lights though  )?

2. Will I get a more impressive 'psssssssttttttt' than I currently get with my Green Filter panel?

I'm taking extra torque/power/smoothness for granted here, also

John (800Bhp) is out till mid-november, but he only lives up the road from me, so I can wait ;)

Answers;

1. takes about 30 mins, if you go see John he should point you in the right direction, we fitted mine on his drive! You need to remove the airbox (durr!) and loosen the battery, removing the covers etc, then take the plastic bulb cover off the rear of the headlight .

Fasten the filter to the pipe and attach the rubber centred bolt thingy through the unused hole in the plate with the earht cables attached to it next to the battery.Remove the black plastic covers off the tube to reveal the connecting parts.

Pass the pipe down through the space so the filter sits in the space beneath the headlight/behind the bumper.

Use the large bore blue pipe to connect it to the MAF, then push the small bore pipe onto the tube and using the alloy piece connect to the corrugated tube at the front of the engine. Use the jubilee clips, though there was one less than needed in my kit.

Start the engine and listen to it purr!!

2;OOOOOOOOh yes!!! Scares old ladies (according to Beretta!!)

P.S John took some pics of it fitted to my car.

Why dont we email the guy asking if he can get a bulk quantity and maybe offer a group buy price?

EDIT: Email sent ;)

You want it cheaper than it already is?

You Skoda boys.......... :ignore:

When do we get to see them ;) ?

Looking at the price of the kit it seems very good value but I'd suggest anybody getting one invests in a good quality filter from the likes of Green or K&N to replace the one supplied. At the price the kit is going for the filter has to be a low quality replica which will have poor filtration.

Does anyone know if this, or a CAI will be OK behind a non-vrs bumper?

Right. I've been in regular contact with the seller, John. He has increased his price buy £10 to £45 to refelct an increased cost to him.

However, he says that Briskoda members can get the kit for £40 (incl. postage) providing they contact him directly via email at [email protected] and mention the Briskoda discount.

I have bought the last item he has in stock but he will have more available from December 20th.

This seems very cheap - i had an almost identical 1 fitted to my old Golf 1.8T, it was made by AEM and was around the £160 mark !!!!!!!

sounded good on the petrol, not sure what it'd sound like on a Fabia VRS?

Its an Octavia kit so it wont fit the Fabia anyway ;)

Anyone fitting one may find it benifical to realign their throttle body at the same time. I find this always makes a noticable difference to both engine sound and feel.

Have had one of these fitted to mine for some time now (Thanks Goose), and cannot fault it, terrific value for the money and really does make a difference.

I have a spare one of these for sale - check out the classified ads or drop me a PM.
