Fabia II 1.2 tsi fuel filter

Featured Replies

Any ideas on how to change the above,ie how to bleed etc.Cheers

Why do want to change it? It is a lifetime filter.

Thought you had to replace them every so often.I've done about 50000 miles. There's a bit of a cough(very intermittent) so I thought I'd start with this. Not sure if it's a lifetime filter. Thanks

The attached only seems to state changing the diesel fuel filter. Someone may enlighten the subject?

Cough could be a spark plug misfire or dodgy plug lead. Plugs should changed 40000 - 60000 miles dependent on useage.

Early tsi's had a known plug lead issue with insulation breakdown where they pass over the hot metal piping. Upgraded leads have conduit protecting them, often changed under warranty.
