I need direct download link for Skoda Octavia III (2014) Bolero MDI

 

Please help.

 

I tried getting on the update portal however there were no upgrades available. There is some problem with my firmware and hence I was wondering if anyone could help me with a direct download link /  torrent link for the firmware. Also if anyone has been able to download the latest update for the same from update portal please share your VIN which I could use to download the firmware directly from the update portal.

I believe this is something only a dealer can do. Or possibly someone with a vag can pro setup. The firmware updates seem to require authorisation from skoda uk before being implemented

I don't think its possible to "officially" upgrade the firmware on any of the entertainment units yourself.

The update portal only provides map data (not software upgrades) even for Amundsen & Columbus.

 

If you think there is a problem, you have to convince your dealer to upgrade it for you.

Firmware Upgrades are from dealer only.

 

IF you manage to get hold of the source files and perform the upgrade yourself you will then have an error code logged for SVM that a dealer will have to clear for you (or someone with VCP, as VCDS can't clear SVM errors)

Don't listen others. Show more information for your Bolero (SW, firmware number you will see if hold CAR and MENU button simultaneously). By the way MDI is coding feature of 5F block.

Are you saying that Firmware Updates are available outside of the dealer network. Apologies, but I am struggling to understand your post.

Is the car outside of its warranty period - I'd have thought a 2014 would be still covered unless you've done mega miles. If you have a problem then your dealer should update firmware free of charge (just had mine done).

So I am looking for some download link from where I can download the update and process the same myself through SD Card.

My dealer also mentioned that he believed that the Columbus would get mirrorlink throug a update. But I wont believe it untill I see it.

Hello, I need link for Octavia III - Bolero , please help me. 

There's allready a complete thread on Briskoda about upgrading Bolero MIB1. Just use the search button, BUT there is not any mirrorlink update for the MIB1 Bolero and there will probably never be any. Forget about it.

There NEVER will be - Hardware does not support it.

@pab567 My dads radio has stopped picking up DAB radio for some reason. The option has just disappeared from the menu screen...

 

I'm wondering if a firmware update would fix this?

 

It's a Skoda Octavia Scout it's a 2015 model. The system settings on the the radio say:

Device Number: 5E0035020D

Hardware: 443

Software: 0370

 

Can this be updated at all? And is there anything odd about this hardware/software version on this model car at all? I find it odd that the radio has worked since 2015 and now is picking up zero DAB?
