Fuel Gauge/Consumption

Featured Replies

I'm not sure if my fuel gauge is a bit dodgy. It always drops loads faster when below halfway than when above, and 40 miles on the M62 today used (according to the fuel gauge) quite a bit more fuel than a 70-mile trek around rural West Yorkshire and the north Peak District yesterday, which doesn't seem right to me. Also, when I started the engine this morning the fuel gauge was lower than when I parked up last night, but I don't know if that's down to the engine heat or anything like that?

Is there any way to tell if my fuel gauge is reading correctly?

Nope, mine's the same.

Same I can get almost 400 miles from the first half. Second half is gone in a little over 200
