A little toy - Fabia III 1.2 TSI DSG

Featured Replies

Looks very nice

Gone for the same colour/wheels combo on my estate I've ordered. Looks great!

Paddles on steering wheel? Did you say no coding? Why is this not standard?

I said no coding... Why not available? Ask Skoda...

Good looking Fabia pab567!

Enjoy your new toy

Very nice the new Fabia looks very good in red and the black roof and wheels work well

So DSG flappy paddles from the Octavia work straight off? That's awesome. Does it make things 'feel' sportier?

Definitely yes :)

Can I ask how receptive the dealer was to replacing the standard steering wheel with the Octavia Wheel? I'm looking at at 110 PS estate with DSG but the lack of paddles is putting me off.

Next changes done - fog lights and rear windows dimmed, body covered with black foil to get look a'la Monte Carlo.

What you can't see is audio upgrade - doors silenced, speakers exchanged to Gladen One 165 SQX (front) and Gladen RC 165 (rear).

Dealer had no issues - I delivered Octavia wheel with paddles before I picked up the car and they replaced it before car was handed over to me. They gave me back my old steering wheel so if anyone is interested let me know.

Dobra, that sounds promising. Can you tell me the model or part number of the Octavia wheel so I can get the same one?

You have to look for the steering wheel series 5E0419091x, where x is one or more characters that define color version and presence of paddles, e.g. http://allegro.pl/ahc-skoda-octavia-iii-kierownica-dsg-5e0419091j-i5248612484.html is the round wheel (not flat at the bottom), with paddles and black stitiching. Pls make sure that it matches Octavia III, not Octavia II / Superb II FL / Yeti.

Thanks pab. Luckily I have time to source this, I'm not buying a Skoda until the Mirrorlink/Smartlink issues are resolved in the UK.

I bough wheel with paddles in December 2014 and my car was produced end of March 2015 :)

Few hours with VCDS and the following results:

1. Needle staging

2. Refuel quantity in MaxiDot

3. Cornering lights via fog lights.

4. Coming home / leaving home via fog lights INSTEAD (instead, not extra to) low beam.

5. New Drive Green menu in infotainment

3. So you activated function which is extra paid? Great. Im from PL too, maybe you could help with mine Fabia :D

5. What does this menu show? Is it useful?

Cheers.

Ahhh - good to hear the Fabia can do Needle Staging - it's a fun little welcome dance from the dashboard !

Great upgrades! Any tips and tricks or even guide on how to silence the doors? Especially how to get rid of the door trims (any airbags I have to disconnect?).
