Don't forget the required remap on top.

And Imminent MOT failure in the near future

...long after the car is dead.

Mate of mine who's a tester has failed a shed load in the past few weeks :)

I'll wait until people come on here and tell us they've been failed. None that I've read to date.

Straight through pipes, fair enough, gutted DPF's - not sure how he can fail them based purely on a visual examination.

I know several MOT testers and unless its obvious as straight through pipe and very visible its not an issue for them

Failing regularly..  :D

A friend of mine is also a tester. He told me ( when I had my 170 PD )

All I'm intrested in is a presence of a Filtre, I ain't bothered if there's nothing in it

Thats all the test says , "check for presence of a dpf" , they cant even see them half the time due to location and covers .

However it is an offence under Construction and use to USE a vehicle that has been modified and no longer complies with its original emissions standard , this law covers all modifications including remaps and even wheels or tyres changes where that may impact the co2 emissions

They can wish I suppose  :D too many variable real life scenarios included their "statement" to even be realistic
