Do you know if there is a noticeable performance decrease by using these?

He says he hasnt noticed any, bearing in mind his car is heavily modified. And the wheels dont catch at all, even being as low as it is.

They look like Audi A8 19s - are they really 20s?

Yep they are defo 20"s i have seen um. The tyres if i can remember rightly are 225/30/20

And a tow bar aswell, sweet :)

Shifty - Dont bother, I know what your thinking.

30 mm of rubber between tyre and road  what is handling like or tyre noise with that size of wheel.Looks good tho

Nice but needs raising :)

LOL...

I'm more than happy with my extra girth.

19's would be nice though................................:D :P

the 30 doesn't stand for 30mm, it stands for 30% of the width so in this case 67.5mm with full tread :)

I must be getting old.

I reckon it looks ****.

I agree. Not my bag but whatever floats yer boat.

Ah ! looks like the one i overtook going past Tescos in Bury the other day. Looked a bit low for todays speed hump mad councils.

OOPS :o

Not convinced.

The wheels are just too large for the car and make it look daft.

Sorry

not for me im afraid. but if they like it thats what counts

i'm 18 and i agree so its not age related... :) . too big for the car - 19's maximum i say...

Glad you pointed that out..lol

Too big. Big isn't bling for performance, only show. Even then, it looks odd.

Different though. I'd imagine he had to undergo some camber adjustments to get the wheels to tuck into the arches.

Too big i think, a guy i worked with had 19's on and kept flat spotting the wheels if he hit a decent bump or pothole as there wasnt enough sidewall height in the tyres.

I tend to agree, to big for the octy to carry those off. The car looks to low also, I wouldnt want to see the state of the drivers side driveshaft. I tried mine quiet low, but had to raise it as the driveshaft was being destroyed by the inner wing. The drivers side is thicker than the passenger side as its longer, so going quickly round right hand bends not a problem, but left handers resulted in a large graunching sound as the driveshaft made contact with the inner wing. Wheels didnt rub the arches though. **** also ran an octy that low and his ate driveshaft boots as the angle is to great where the cv joint meets the wheel, sying that his suspension was rock hard so he didnt have the driveshaft rubbing issue. Also if he has problem getting full lock on the steering the car will fail its Mot.

One pothole with those and its bye bye wheel(s). Also if he has problem getting full lock on the steering the car will fail its Mot.

Personally I do not like it - those alloys look way too big for an Octy vRS but its all down to personal choice at the end of the day :)

Shifty GO FOR IT. :)

:rotz: Not for me either.

Hmmm...I always think if you 'over-modify' the people around who don't know about Skoda's will think that a ' VRS ' Skoda does not really exist & that the whole car is just one big ' modification' of what they still perceive to be a crap car!!
