Dealer advice ref Octavia III and cruise-control

Featured Replies

Hi,

I put my O3 VRS into Winchester Skoda on Tue 5 May 15 to have cruise control fitted - they quoted £275, and to pick it up that evening.

They have had it ever since with a "databus fault" they cannot clear, although apparently the cruise control works fine.

They've had it almost a week now (6 days today), and unsure what to do:

1) Pick it up, accept there is a databus error, and they will fix it in the future (yeah right).

2) Leave my car with them indefinitely and continue to putt round in the CitiGo courtesy car.

I am concerned that as soon as they have my money, there is no incentive for them to fix the issue - however, I would quite like my VRS bck at some point.

Appreciate people's thoughts!

Cheers.

Sounds like they have not coded the car correctly, everything should continue to work,
