Those are not the same maps Thats offered to the Columbus. There is at least one thing that differs between the online map and the newest one the Columbus.

Use WinRAR to extract, 7zip doesn't see it as a valid file.

HI Andy,

Does this link still work as I downloaded using WinRAR which took 13 hours.

The folders downloaded were Mib1, Mib2 and metainfo2.

I copied onto my 32GB FAT32 SD card and tried to download to Columbus without any success.

The error message seen is the same as others on this topic:

 Error: no data available.

Please insert a source with software update data or check the source.

The SD card shows that I have used 23.9GB with 5.75GB spare so I assume that I have the full data required.

Any resolution you might have for this matter would be appreciated. If relevant I notice that the individual country files are shown as PSF files.

Should still work, what do you have in the root of the SD card?

Hi Andy,

Thanks for coming back to me.

My 32GB SD card has the following information:

Total file size on disk is 23.9GB (25,701,187,584 bytes)

Mib1 file size on disk is 19.8GB (21,327,937,536 bytes)

Mib2 file size on disk is 4.07GB (4,373,217,280 bytes)

The various levels of the SD card show the following:

Level 1

Folder P123_N60S5MIBH3_EU_NT_Q3.14

File WMPInfo

Level 2

Folder Mib2

File metainfo2

Level 3 Folder Mib1

Folder Eggnog

Folder NavDB

Folder SpeechResVDE

File  metainfo2

Level 3 Folder Mib2

Folder NavDB

Folder SpeechResVDE

Folder Truffles

File  metainfo2

Level 3 File

Level 4 under Eggnog

Folder DBInfo

Folder eu

Folder InfoFile

Level4 under NavDB Individual country files

Level4 under SpeechResVDE           Individual country files

Level 4 File metainfo2 Notepad doc.

I hope the above information is what you were expecting.

Thanks

The problem is that what you have in level 2 should be in level 1, i.e the MIB1 folder MIB2 folder and metainfo2 file should be in the root of the card.

Delete the WMPInfo file as well - this means the MIB unit has recognised the card as a media card, not a software update.

Just copy and paste in to the root of the card and then delete WMPInfo and the P123...... folder

Thanks for the process to follow.

I'll have a go tomorrow and see if I am successful.

Hi Andy,

Success !!

I moved the folders suggested and loaded onto Columbus with no problem whatsoever. It took just about 55 minutes which I thought was pretty quick.

I was pleasantly surprised that my speed cameras were still showing so I guess that it is a feature of POI's so not affecting the maps.

In order to download your file I did use WinRar which I note I have a 40 day free licence. I don't have any other use for the programme but is it something I will require for the 2016/7 maps if you are good enough to let us use ? I must admit that I didn't really know what to do to extract your file but whatever I did it worked.

Thank you very much for helping us all with your knowledge which is appreciated.
