....for putting a smile on my face.

Just collected my Octiva vRS estate (in black of course) and I'm very impressed indeed.

I'd been buying Vectras and like for my daily commute to Heathrow and finally decided I needed something with a bit more "grunt" to make the journey along the M40 a bit more interesting. Having been impressed with the engine in my TT the vRS seemed the obvious choice... and I'm not wrong. Initial impressions suggest the build quality's on a par with my Audi and it obviously shares so much as a lot of the switchgear is identical.

Import (from Malta of all places) with full UK spec (very carefully checked) from Eurocars in Epsom.

hi iambic and welcome to briskoda!

congrats on your purchase, sounds like you got a good deal there.

chip it and the performance will be on a par with your audi too ( unless that's been chipped already! )

Welcome to the forum sir :)

Congratulations on the new Hearse, i mean Octy Estate :D. I'm sure you'll have many hours of joyous commuting in it....

Welcome, iambic! Nice to have another Estate owner on the forum - even if etc etc - and its very satisfying to hear your comments about build quality. Have fun! :D

Welcome too, iambic! Funny you should say about the switchgear - I visited the States last year and a colleague had just taken delivery of his TT. I was able to walk him through all of the functions on the MFA and Climate Control without referring to the owners manual!! I had to laugh! :D

Enjoy the car. I see the customary Jabba referral has already been made!!

An acquaintance of mine has just bought the 150bhp TT, and he has already been pointed in the direction of Crowland!! (by me I should point out). How many referral points do I get then?? ;)

Laugh? I nearly did.

OK, OK, I'm over it now. I've ranted enough. (Must remember to fill the form in and send it back, but I think that can wait for a couple of days!)

Going to sign it?

Send a photo of the cheque? (and they'll send you a piccie of a jail-cell)

Welcome aboard. Hope the car proves as wonderful as you hope it to be. I am sure it will- being a Skoda and all... and they never go wrong... I am so bored here you know, but happy that you're all having a lovely old time with your motors!

That is something we will never let you be, and an average of just under 6 posts a day surely exposes that statement as being a little less than the whole truth... eek.gif

Welcome to this on-line Briskodaring fest!! Good to have you on-board

Hey Huck good to hear that common sense has prevailed over teutonic madness and that you're gonna be back in an RS.

Why the change of heart??

:D :D :D

hey andre,

good to be back...........

in a nutshell, never really got on with the bmw - mistook more expensive (and enthusiastic press reviews) as better for me too. just really loved my RS and missed it the moment i bought the bm.
