Horse Radish sause??

You should have mown it down, then reversed over the rider.

Horse riders suck (apologies if you're a horse rider and you don't suck by generally being inconsiderate, obnoxious, pompous, pretend-county-folking nouveau-riche *******).

I hate horses, they are only interested in themselves, no matter how well you think you know a horse or think it 'loves' you, it'll throw you off, break your spine and run away at the slightest 'spook' i.e. empty carrier bag fluttering across road!

And horses are meant to be in fields/wild NOT on roads. ( they'd be born with 'horseshoes' if that was the case!)

To sum up -

Big Animal - Small Brain - Bad combo!

So are you saying that if you had standard brakes, theres no way you would have avoided it? I don't believe that, and if that were the case, then your driving was obviously very questionable in the first place ;)

No....................I'm not saying that the standard brakes would not have stopped in time. What I am saying is how amazing the big brakes are, Foot to the floor and you Stop....I found that to brake quickly on standard Brakes Foot to the floor, release, foot to the floor..and yes I was moving at a fair rate of knots, But you don't expect a horse to be walking down the white line...Lucky I suppose the jockey wasn't on the Mobile :)

hehehe I had a moment with extreamly warmed up 312's with green stuff pads, they were biting like a bitch as it was...

Driving about 70ish, looking for a junction, then my mate pointed it out as we were almost driving past it (clear road) slammed on the brakes, and jesus, he said he'd never felt anything quite like it in his life, it was immense, and I made my junction :D

Must try these green stuff pads. EBC?

Having seen the aftermath of a vehicle striking a horse at speed believe me you DO NOT want to be a party to such an incident.

I'm not a particular fan of horses but I do know that, currently, they are permitted to share roads with us car drivers so we should treat them with a degree of respect.

Driving at night requires special skills. There is less time to be able to react to hazards. Simply dropping from main beam to main headlights reduces the amount of road you have to stop in.

I always think what if it were my 5 year old laid in the road having fallen off his bicycle. The truth is that, in the dark, we should drive slower because we cannot definitely see that the road is clear.

When the road is free of other traffic/hazards, you can use main beam and see that the road is definitely just yours then that is the time to GLF!

Wave goodbye to brake dust ;)

Just got my big brakes on. Finding it hard to be easy on them for it all to bed in. Gonna have to do a lot of driving this week to get it over with. :D

Is it just in my head or does the car feel a lot heavier and more sluggish with the 312's though?

Its in your head, unless they are binding?

Definitely not binding, it's probably me, I know I'm not allowed to use the brakes hard, so I'm probably not booting with the 'go faster' pedal as much as usual.

Just felt a little less 'oomph', but I guess being heavier there will be a little drop in accelleration.

 for them so far though.

Green stuff?

But you want braking no?

80mph to 0 from the hundred yard marker, makes yer tighten up a bit...might go a bit later on the very odd occasion, like suregrip :D
