Anyone had any joy - I'm getting impatient!

I think we have, black with a shed load of options. I think it was the sales manager being a bit over indulgent :)

So can the Race Blue be ordered or not?

I know its a bit following the press shots but it does look good in Autocar!

Race blue is an offical colour for the A5 vRS.

Race blue is an offical colour for the A5 vRS.

A5, Is that what the New Octi vRS its really called :)

The A prefix is kinda VW speak for Golf based cars. 5 means it is the 5th generation of the Golf platform.

Although you can order Race Blue now, cars in the colour won't reach UK dealers until Jan. :thumbdwn:

Why would someone order a car costing more than
Because.....;

a) Its a company car

B) I've driven an Octy Sport and a Golf Gti and would think vRS is between the 2.

c) I can't bear to have a diesel

d) Its the only performance car that will do sub 7.5sec to 60' date=' under 200g/km CO2, have 580 litres boot space, not kill you on Company Car TAX as its still cheap and tow my race car.

e) I respect David Vivian's opinion.

f) Its a bit different to the Fords, VWs, Toyotas, Audis and Beemers in the car park.

Enough reasons for you?[/quote']

Lucky sod :) Point B) needs more thought though ;)

Sounds perfect to me :)

B) isn't the engine exactly the same as the Sport?

d) if any owner can get sub 7.5 seconds out of it I'll eat my hat

f) it's cheaper (just) but not really different any more imho

I'd like to test drive one before committing myself.

B) isn't the engine exactly the same as the Sport?

The same but +50 bhp due to the turbo if you have a petrol Sport.

d) if any owner can get sub 7.5 seconds out of it I'll eat my hat

.

It's actually 0-62 mph in 7.3 so I reckon 0-60 be about 6.9 ;) :hat:

As for just below a Golf GTI,it is a Golf GTI.Bigger and different badge though and a higher top end.I'd buy one blind :)

Don't forget that the manufacturer's performance figures are measured
without the vehicle being fitted with any equipment such as air conditioning, mud flaps, which affect performance. [unquote]

Firstly I would like to say HIIIIIIIII to you all, I'm a freshly registered newby cousing from Uk-mkivs!

I went to my stealer today to get the price list for the new Octi vRS which I am quite interested in.

Since I can't find any infos and/or pics, I thought maybe you might the answer to my questions?

Here goes:

Do you have any pics of the 18" 'Zenith' alloys?

Are the wing mirrors electrically foldable? Doesn't seem to be in the options list, even though they are available on the Golf V.

Do you have pics of the seats in the two trim types:black and onyx?

Can anyone explain the difference between the 'Stream', 'Audience' and 'Audience Plus' stereos, accompanied with pics possibly?

I know I'm asking for much, but I'll blame it on my newbiness!!!

Cheers

Guido

1) Exactly the same wheels just an inch bigger

2) Not that I know of, a feature reserved for top flight L+K iirc

3) I thought that was one trim type (Black/Onyx two tone)

4) Stream (basic) Audience (better) Audience Plus (additional speakers in doors and an external amp)

Not much info but hey I work in a dealer, we have less info that you :)

Lol fair enough, but thanks anyway!

Is the stream stereo good enough, or is it better to go with the audience? Does the stream also have mp3 playing capability?

Do you know if they will at some point put the DVD MFD2 (as they recently did on the Golf mk5), in stead of the CD-based one thats currently offered?
