Mk3 VRS good deal?

Featured Replies

I've had a quote on another VRS

This time as follows

Skoda

Octavia vRS Hatch 2.0TDi Manual

Moon White

Space Saver

Sunset Glass

Black Design Pack

Double Side Boot Floor

18'' Gemini Silver Alloys

Colour Maxi

£19,750.00

GMFV £8460 after 48 months.

I haven't seen moon white in the metal so to speak. What are your thoughts on the colour?

Thanks

The colour is basically a very bright white very nice indeed. Can I ask is the deal from a Skoda dealer? As I take it it's a pcp deal but didn't think they did 48 months.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

No it isn't a Skoda dealer. The finance is with VW though.

Don't know about the moon white but, I do think if you're gonna take PCH over 48 you should extend the OEM warranty by a year, I'd hate to pay for repairing something expensive when I'm about to be handing the car back.

Think Moon white is Metalic white

Unless the paint is full of craters

At a guess this is PCP on a used car not pch as it is over 4 years and residual value is under 10k

It is a brand new car with a 16 weeks wait.

Just out if interest, who is supplying a brand new Skoda if it's not a Skoda dealer?

Skoda are supplying the VRS I'm just not going through a showroom and paying more to do so.

It's Griffin in Brighton who are doing the deal for me,through the DDS discount scheme.

The deal states the Road fund is paid for the first year.  It's free for the first year then £30 each year

£30 isn't bad at all :)

What is the 'Put some Spanish Spice in your life'  all about?

Do they think a Skoda is a Seat,  or is it about something else?

So it's a military special, not open to Joe Public then?

It will ultimately be being supplied via a Skoda dealer in some shape or form

If you have ever served in any force or a family member has im told you can get discount. A friend got discount on a Rapid through this and he has never served. If anyone is after a car it's worth contacting them

Haha I haven't noticed that

The website does not seem very current unless they can supply cars no longer built from Stock.

No sign of the 2015 All New Fabia that is the current model being built.

I know it is lacking, but when you contact them they know their stuff. They told me about the updates to the Octavia in regards to build weeks etc.

?

Who was 'they' that told you a car salesperson with DDSCars or Griffin in Brighton?

Sorry that makes no sense?

What makes sense is, if you think it is a good deal and the best you can find that suits you, go for it.

Link doesn't work.

Yeah I think it is to be honest. At least the links to discounts may help others in the future.

You spelt the link wrong. Link to Griffin http://www.griffintaxfree.com

I spoke to them 9 months ago, they were so bad that I gave up and got a similar deal through my local dealer.  I hope you have better luck with them than me, I for one will not touch them with a barge pole.  Their online prices were wrong, they admitted they did not update them very often, they had the wrong spec and they repeatedly failed to return telephone calls.  I could not bear the thought of going through any problems with them, let alone tow bar or any other dealer stuff.

You also need to be a holder of a DDS membership card (plus Passport) and they will have to register the car in the holders name/address.

Good luck though if you do go with them.
