0% PCP plus £500 fuel card on ANY new Skoda for 6 days only!

Featured Replies

I picked up my Octavia on their PCP 0% deal a few weeks ago.

Lovely car, however can someone confirm something for me - I took a car from stock and didn't receive a £500 discount for doing so due to the car having some optional extras on it, i.e. auto headlights, Cruise Control and a MFSW. I heard that these extras were standard from March on-wards, therefore should I still have received the discount?

The deal was on for the last 6 days only hence, you weren't entiled to the deal on offer.

Yeah I appreciate that, however is it just me that finds it pretty infuriating that there's one deal that you sign up for, then another comes along that you'd have preferred. I'm fortunately not that bothered as I did get the 3 years for £149 with mine, but I could see some people missing out after signing up for one deal, only for a better one to come out a week later.

If VWFS introduce a more attractive finance campaign whilst you await delivery of your car then you are entitled and so benefit. Once youve signed on the dotted line thats it, its contractual....if something better comes along then its rather tough luck.

I managed to update my order to the 0% deal. Phoned up my dealer and he just put me on it!

Result!

Random, nobody is having a go, up and until you sign for the car YOU can choose the original deal you agreed on or a current one which maybe beneficial to you, it doesn't work both ways though, Skoda can't change the deal without you asking them to but, if a deal isn't on offer prior to you signing for the car you can't have it.

If you kept waiting for a better deal, you'd probably never buy a car and never buy on the best deal thinking the next one would be better.  Historically, Q4 deals are normally the best and if you can get an 8-10 week build time you'll probably get the car for the new March plate but, Christmas ain't a time of year most go car shopping hence, why the deals are best.

The bottom line is do you like your car and can you afford it ? if thats a yes/yes be happy.

Yeah I was pretty consigned to the fact I missed out, just emailed on the last day of the offer just as a punt....  :)

Kinda think the dealership/salesperson looses at little on the deal but, towing the company line and showing great figures for a Skoda promotions protects the franchise in the long run and to make money in business, you've gotta be in business.

  • 4 weeks later...

Anyone got their  £500 card through yet still waiting for mine. Dealer told me it would be around 4 weeks but not sure if that was from ordering the car or after delivery

From delivery

Thanks no need to pop to dealers yet then

Nope phoned up Skoda today to ask and they said at least 28 days from delivery, which would make my fuel card due around the 12 July

Not sure why there is a delay?

My card arrived today, just got to wait for the PIN very happy customer.. :-)

Same here just less than 2 weeks after getting the car

I ordered on the higher rate PCP back in April, but my dealer phoned and told me he'd put me onto the 0% agreement, and there was also a £500 dealer contribution to the cost of the vehicle, rather than as a fuel card...

Worked out well, rather than taking PCP over 42 months, now taking it over 36, plus the skoda servicing, for less than I'm paying for my current car, and it's about £45 less than what I signed for in April, which I'd already negotiated about 70 a month decrease on :)
