Bass level reduces when engine stops - can vcds coding stop this

Featured Replies

I have a my15 superb l&k dsg estate which is now awesome (after a new mechtronics pack after 3 months) There is 1 small issue I have with the sound system - as I drive along the bass is brilliant, as soon as I stop at a junction and the engine stops the bass noticeably reduces. I'm guessing it's turning the amp down to reduce battery drain when stationary - is there any way to stop this happening using vcds? It's really annoying if you are in stop start traffic!!

Many thanks

Lee

Could always switch off stop start

Mechtronics... Isnt this from Dr Who...? Or Star Wars?

I have not heard about any solution despite throwing Sound System away.

doesn't this stop you getting assaulted from other motorists who don't want to hear the bass part of your choice of music?

There is a local guy that has the most massive sub in his Impreza "heap", that when he goes past the house (with his windows down naturally!) you can literally feel the bass through the floor and glassware rattles. God alone knows what he must feel like... and he'll be mutton in no time. Di*khead....

And I have a friend whose Saturday evenings are made unbearable by the neighbours cinema surround sound.
