Retrofit ABS controller info TPMS

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if my 1k0 907 379 p controller is compatible with the TPMS system?

Side question, does it display any info on maxidot? Since fitting maxidot its become my Panini football sticker album, I spend a fortune but never seem to fill it :P

Doesn't add anything to Maxidot though (unless you go by the name of 'Eddie-NL' and have retro-fitted the newer highline controller with pressure sensors in each wheel).

Looks OK to me from the pictures.

As Mike says, PM Eddie-NL and he'll be able to tell / sell you exactly what you need.

I'll get it and give it a shot for the money. Cheers again folks

What a good choice of stuff that ebay seller has. Not sure how good or bad the prices are, I will be given them a look up when I need bits.

That would be good too, I don't even have a remote fuel cap release, am wondering how much hassle that would be to fit? Would be nice to fill all them blanks as all I have right now is the traction control and airbag light.

That's ok... no Octavia does. The flap is locked/unlocked with the central locking then you push it to open.

Any ideas how easy it would be to fit Phil? I saw a button on ebay must have been a MK1. Its a pain having to lock and unlock fuel cap with a key.

Ah right. So does the flap/door not lock with the car on yours?

On mine it's locked when the car is locked (you can hear a little motor in there). Then to open the flap you push it then just unscrew the cap.

No Phil, even when locked I can open it and the cap itself has a lock on it. Takes a fair bit of faff to unlock too as you have to hold the cap with one hand whilst turning the key a full turn or so.

I'm guessing I could fit the motor and wire it into central locking?

Just realised I dont think I can fit the tpms as I don't have esp I have asr :( I presume I can't wire I to that button? How annoying lol

You can fit TPMS with only ASR :)

Ok I give in, can anyone help lol.also I thought I better check as you never know, it us the giant plug on the abs I am tapping into right? :)

Yes. The locking mechanism lifts about 2inches before it budges - basically much more than you think it needs to....

I managed to get it out cheers adamal but I don't know how to open the plug to put the wire in

Yes softscoop, I didn't want to force it of as don't seem to be able to work out which part separates from which.

If I remember rightly, it has 4 locking tabs. I think I just carefully levered it off.
