i may want to stick my tongue in your ear :P

i cant really buy it just now it will be after xmas first week or so in jan im back from newyork then so will have the cash

No probs.

When you're ready, PM me and I'll check the latest pricing and figure out how we can sort out the logistics.

Easiest option would be for you to pick it up from Basingstoke. But IIRC, you're up north somewhere...

I would need my glasses on, 11ft is an OK distance for a 60" set according to Sony. ;)

My Mums lounge is 16' X 13' with a viewing distance of around 11', she is getting her 50" screen delivered today. :D

I think she would have been better with the 42" but my Dad wasn't going to get one smaller than mine. LOL

Cheers

I hear we are in for quite a large price drop in lcd's after new year, Feb or March time.

Someone also told me Sony are not the leaders in this technology any longer and the likes of Panasonic are where it is at....

Not sure how true this is, just going off what I heard but if anyone has any opinions it would be interesting to hear them since i'm also in the market early 2006 for a 32" lcd for the wall. :)

I *think* that was before the new range of Sony LCDs came out - the Bravia ones.

I'm completely unbiassed of course. Not boasting Sony's or any other's in particular. In all honesty, I've yet to see a new Bravia screen running at its best :)

Price-wise though, I think they're rather good for the money. The new Bravia apparently (read "from a marketing PoV") get past all the downsides of previous LCD technology.

Regarding Plasma vs LCD, I don't want to start a war, but last time I checked at work, a Sony plasma started showing screen burn just after a few days :(

We don't mind honest, as long as it's a price war. :D

I was looking at the Sony Bravia 32" KDLS32A12 on the John Lewis website at

Wheres the distance calculator thing?

Our lounge is long and thin, with windows and doors at each end, thus it's side to side or an angle...

That would to be fair clinch it between the nice 26" or the cheaper 32", although with 38% off ;)

Whats the real difference anyway other than a bit of styling?
