Probably a silly question, but i'm wondering where the points of entry are for moisture/water in the doors - I know a large one would be the window rubber.

 

It leads into my central locking problem, as yet again - as the sun comes out - everything goes back to normal, so i'm convinced its water.

 

In the hope of slowing things down i've modified the position of the window rubber as there is a 2mm gap on the left hand side of every rubber strip, which i have taken to allowing water in.

 

Touch wood since then i havent noticed any issues - although its hardly rained since...

Are you getting damp carpets too? If you are then it's the door caerier seals. If you search then you'll find lots of info on how to do it.

Nope, did in my last fabia, i checked the history before buying the VRS, it had the doors resealed by skoda about 2/3 years ago. 

I do notice spots on the door sill (actually on the rubber seals), but thats it.

Balls, thought that could be the case. Is there any fix for that or is it just designed to run through? I've moved the seal closer to the edge of the window at present to block the gap which appears to be working however with the weather turning now i anticipate it will start dying again. 

I believe it's designed to run through.

You could make a drip cover that sits over the electrical parts inside the door or a more drastic fix is to tape the gap closed and loose the use of your window.

That's doesn't mean they've been skilled properly. People have had Skoda seal there doors and still get water coming though.

No amount of silicone around the door carrier is gonna stop water getting into the door though. Which seems to be the ops problem.

Yeah, the scraper seals only keep so much out, the rest goes into the door and out the bottom.

I think its getting behind the carrier though which is where the issue is, or so i believe, as i've swapped out the window motor mechanism and theres no change, (theres also no traces of water there), so it doesnt appear to be there - someone mentioned to be its likely something behind the carrier to do with the central locking thats causing my intermittent fault on the drivers door (IE ignores either locking or unlocking the door).

Water is getting into my car through the ventilation system if I'm not cleaning the draining hole behind the engine like each time it's about to rain or I'm about to wash the car. There have been a few times when I was hearing the water getting into the fan's blades and being spilled around the passenger's feet area. Replacing the polen filter each time wasn't a solution. Is there any way to get this fixed permanently?
