Jabba will delivery or fit....depends entirely on what you would like.

i called jabba and they said they put my name on the list and that i would get a call in 2 weeks time from the call to organise delivery/pickup/fitment and that was about february if i remember correctly. :thumbdwn:

SO !!! Jabba are on my list of "messers"!

Where do we go from here lads?

It was March when I called and was also told I'd get a call in 2 weeks. It's really annoying that there's currently no alternative.

:iagree:

might just hack the tyre well and stick a standard R32 one on there. damn sight cheaper!

TBH I'm considering the same. I doubt that there'd be that much to cut out as it only just doesn't fit.

i'm already convinced mate, cut and shut it. lots cheaper in the long run and will actually happen this year :)

I may ask JBS to look at this tomorrow as they have my car anyway.

bengie+angle grinder+octavia = :D

Have any of you called jabba to see whats happening,

Bengie if you need convincing to wait & want a spin in mine PM me

They said don't call us, we'll call you.

Spoke to JBS this morning who are now looking at a couple of options for me. 1st option is to get an existing ARB either OEM R32 or aftermarket heat treated and a bend put in; obviously this will depend on how much of a bend is required. 2nd option is as we've discussed here a small slot cutting into the spare wheel well to accomodate the bar, I would then probably have this covered on the inside with a suitable plate welded in.

If they heat treat make sure they re treat after its been bent. When I researched having a bespoke one made it was the cost of treatment that killed it.

You needed a high grade steel, then heat treat it to soften it so it can be bent, then re treat it to regain the grade afterwards, Its was several hundred just for treating it twice

Yeah that's what I discussed with them just didn't make it particularly clear in my post. Just looking into the options at the moment as I'd ideally like this sorting whilst my car is off the road to save further hassle later.

Guessed youd probably have that covered, makes sense to get it done whilst the cars off the road

Lads, seem to remember a group buy on this subject some time ago, what happend to that & Who Was That With????

We needed 5 orders minimum but didn't have enough....I believe everyone have ordered individually now.

Haven't heard from Nick...he has been chasing manufacturer who has been neglecting existing customers to complete work for a new customer.....Lotus and their new Europa I believe.

I will chase again tomorrow.

Spoken to Nick.

He couldn't talk to the Boss Man from company producing the ARB...he wasn't around.....talked to one of the peeps who actually make them and was told they could make them for the end of next week.

Wouldn't take this as gospel though until Nick can confirm fromthe Boss Man.

I'll touch base with Nick again early next week to se eif he has had confirmation.

not sure i'm going to bother now, will probably just get my tyre well modified and fit a standard R32 rear ARB, lots cheaper and more readily available.
