Best pads to fit oem setup ?

Featured Replies

Just got my new sachs oem clutch dmf n release bearing from euro car parts at a bargain price n plan on fitting it after work some time this week gonna change g box oil too as it'll be out n thinking I mat as well change the front pads while its up in the air and hopefully get rid of the brake fade I get after hard braking from speed any suggestions on which pads are best discs are mint so won't be changing them yet thanks in advance rob

Mintex since they can be had for quite cheap as well.

Padig are decent but wouldn't say they are performance by any matter.

EBC if you want proper performance but cost a small fortune.

I find the standard brembo stuff good quality and decent performance, but by the same taken I don't drive the car hard and it only has a stage one map so not sure I'm best placed to offer an opinion (certainly performance wise)! Lol I do 150 miles a day though and found the brembo stuff lasts well.

I normally do as the OP has done though and purchase whilst there is an offer on an GSF.

Ferodo DS, Brembo discs, and change your brake fluid.

That is all.

Ferodo or mintex for standard compound work great for fast road stuff, but if your running standard vrs front size brakes they are too small for the weight of the car.

keep your eyes open for a 312mm disc and calioer set up would be my advice if your getting fade now, they transform the braking.

Ref doing your clutch, the gearbox is heavy and tight to get in and out if your doing it lying on your back ;)

Mines got EBC yellow stuff fitted and they are unreal . Recommend them but pricey.
