Anyone know how it works when it comes to delivering a bikre what happens if you ain't happy with condition of the bike or something ?

Its that thats always put me off.

Id imagine its alot harder than it is to walk out of a shop lol.

Ah see thats where it actually works quite well/gets interesting but people are often too scared to try.

If you order without ever going to the dealer, you're buying under the distance selling regulations, therefore covered by them. The bike could arrive in perfect condition but if you change your mind you could just send it back, so if it arrived in a condition other than they described you'd be well covered for not buying it.

Just got back. I told him I was looking at it for you, it was buried behind another bike so had to get him to move it out for me. I had a poke about, to be honest, it's everything you'd expect a 2000 mile bike to be. The only tiny bits I noticed being ultra picky were one of the decals on the front mudguard was slightly peeling here;

I didnt get him to start it, I didnt think but tbh I dont think you have any issues on that front from a KTM dealer.

Aside from those 3 little bits I pictured I couldnt see much signs of use at all, shock and swingarm, chain, wheels, brake calipers etc all look new, it's got the crash bobbins front and back, no damage to them, looked like braided brake lines? Dunno if they come with them or they've been added, still got the big rear fender and original plate on, tyres look as you'd expect for the miles and I couldnt see any signs of damage or accidents. Even the headlight and front fairing/mudguard had no stone chips that I could see.

It's a very nice bike imo and if you get it you're a lucky ****  :D

Because people who work in them are generally motorcyclists too, and don't want to spend their Sundays at work, surrounded (mostly) by window shopping tyre kickers, who'd rather hang around a bike shop on Sunday talking boll**ks than actually ride their bikes, lol. Give them a break, they work six days a week as it is.

My local bike shop closes on a wednesday, but is open saturday (its only a small shop with 2 guys in) and ofc closes sunday.

Always has done, always will id of thought.

Its the same with car shops though, unless you go to a big dealer with lots of staff

Yup. Back in the days of the Motorcycle City/Carnells/Riossi chain they used to open on Sundays, but they were just car dealerships with bikes instead of cars.

True though.

Ive been to CMC claycross today. Thats all open with events on too. Jap Sunday it was today.

But the stocks are high, the sales are high, finance is offered (which most seem to go for, for some reason) and staff levels are high. So why not. Oh, and high overheads to keep ontop of.

Local shops have quite the opposite.

I prefer to use small shops tbh. you get to know a mechanic by person, his ways and means, and i can offer my plumbing/heating/gas services haha.

Hmm they want a 250 deposit to secure it unti I can get down sometime this week .... Might just risk it and not out deposit just ring before I go down

£250 seems a little much.

£100 has usually secured bikes for me. Its enough that you wouldnt want to lose it aha.
