Another Hello From Ireland

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Martin here proud owner of a Skoda Octavia 1.9 Diesel 105BHP 77KW, that said I'm looking for some info if anyone can help.

Where is ECU located & which model ecu do I have?

Where is obd port located.

Finally can anyone recommend a good chip tuning/remap etc.. for me and where I can get this. Is a plugin like revo better etc..

I'm totally new and looking forward to soaking up any info at all.

Enough said, and again hello from Martin from Dublin Ireland.

Cheers

Hi Martin!

Welcome to Briskoda from another Dublin man!

The OBD port is located under the steering wheel in the cabin. I reckon you'll need VAGCOM to find out the model of ECU you have. There are a few tuning companies around. Just do a search on the forum and you'll find them. (I think there was a whole thread realted to them ages ago). It all depends on whether you want to go to the UK for Tuning or not. There's a few REVO places around Dublin - Enfield, Navan, etc.

:D

Hi and welcome. D

The OBD socket (pictured below) may be covered by a removable plastic blanking piece.

Its probably hidden behind a cover, but its definitely on the drivers side near the steering wheel, on the dash (the bottom bit)
