Superb’s available to view at the following dealers

Recommended Posts

I wonder if any dealers will get a 280 tsi as a demo. I remember when the mk2 came out and Allams managed to get us the 3.6 v6 from Skoda for the day when they kindly organised a open day for us briskodians.

Yes Beadles in Maidstone are getting a 280 demo

Pictures of the Mk III Estate at Ridgeway Oxford posted to the Superb III Gallery. If this was the wrong place to put them, would a moderator kindly move them to the right place?

That’s as good a place as any (I have put the link to the folder in your post)

I don’t suppose you took a close up of the rear valance (where the exhaust pipes ‘should’ exit did you?

No, but if you view the pics at largest size you can just about get a view of it in one of them. It looks like there's an indent on both sides (the same shape as the exhaust pipes on the 280). Let me know what you're after and i'll try again next time I'm passing.

Thanks thats exactly what I’m after the indentations where the tail pipes would come out

OK - don't rely on my non specific pic - I'll try and get another one during the week if it's stopped raining.

Actually, try this and let me know if you need another one or more info. A little image adjusting from one of the originals :-)

Specialist Cars Skoda Aberdeen

2.0 TDI 150

SE L Executive

Hatch

Brilliant Silver or Business Grey

Said they were expecting another soon for the showroom and 2 more as demonstrators, although not sure what specification they will be getting yet. Actually said they were hoping to get the 1.4 ACT 150!

They couldn't give me a quote on my specification as the car wasn't on their computer system yet  :dull:

Simpsons skoda Colne

2.0 TDI 190 dsg

SE L Executive

Estate

Black magic

In the showroom

Unknown engine manual 'box

SE L Executive

Hatch

Quartz or business grey (sorry not sure which is which)

19" Sirius wheels

In car park

Both looked very nice. The black looked great in the showroom but as I already have a black magic octy and it's a pig for showing marks I would be giving it a wide birth especially on a pch deal.

Garlands Aldershot have just taken delivery of one. Not sure if this will be display model though. More info on their FaceBook page:

http://www.facebook.com/GarlandSkoda

Garland Motors Aldershot

SE L Executive hatch

Business Grey

19" Sirius optional wheels.

Black Leather / Alcantara

Saw a white Superb III estate parked outside Garlands, registered and available for pre-arranged test drives (01252 418562). Don't know which spec, though it appeared to have the 19" Sirius wheels too.

The SE L Executive hatch is unregistered and on display in the showroom.

Dealers should not be displaying the new Superb, really, until the Launch on the 17th September... they certainly shouldn't be registering them!!

Source... I work for Skoda!

When I was at the dealer launch in Sardinia the exact words of SKODA UK "When these cars hit the dealers, dont hide them away, get them out on the road"

Ridgeway Oxford (Kidlington) now have a 2.0 TDI 4x4 190PS DSG SCR in Metallic Black in the showroom, with Beige Alcantara / Leather interior.

Pictures in the SIII gallery here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/gallery/category/20-superb-mk-iii/

This one has the reversing camera fitted, which looks very neat tucked away in the boot lid release.

I was struck by what I can only say is the hugeness of the cover in the roof behind the rear view mirror containing the forward looking assistance camera and rain / light sensors below - I've tried to capture both the interior and exterior aspects of this. It does take up a lot of room!

It's an SE L 150 Diesel Manual with VBF. For anyone interested the height from a VBF to roof is 70cm at the boot lip. Very nice drive. SWMBO's nerves in the test drive gave her a good chance of stalling it..... twice :D she still loved the car though.

Dm Keith Wakefield have their Business grey SEL estate covered up now in prep for the launch - however out the back they have a Hatch same trim & spec.

Had a Nosey round it - great looking car - making me wish i'd specced 19" alloys for my L&K as well

If you happen to go back there again.. please tell them to pull their finger out, order placed in February 1973 and they're still telling me ETA mid December!

On a separate and more thread appropriate topic, Skoda Winchester have a SE L Exec hatch on display.

Were they actually selling Skodas in Feb. '73?
