Have I made a mistake?

Hi Pipsyreturns

How do you like the Mk 7 GTD, test drove one and very impressed - just wasn't big enough for my window blinds.

Also welcome back

Rob

Cheers Rob56....GTD is superb, is a company car. I wouldnt want to be paying 28k for one but is a brilliant bit of kit. Its that good I have to say as much as I would like (and would probably still rather have) a GTI it performs so well and does 40-odd mpg no matter how its driven I think it is very difficult to rationalise. Is about the perfect every day warm hatch IMHO.

Only downside is that compared to an Octavia it ia rather small, but if you dont need the size its rather a no brainer assuming you can get the right sort of deal on one.

  • First time you beat a VRS away from the lights on a wet day you'll know you made the right choice.

  • Or sit at the lights and look like a Taxi. A Scout seems like a good choice.

TBH bi-xenon's was a big plus for the VRS.

Sadly, bi-xenon's was a £29 monthly addition to the contract hire for the Scout.

The biggest clue to an approaching vRS is the LED DRL strip in the headlights.

Spec the bi-xenon's on the Scout and you are a step closer to perfection :D

Aint the bixenons common on the other versions in the uk?

No, you pay the best part of £29k in the UK for the 184 Scout and bi-xenon's are not standard.

A bit different here, Larger engines are expensive, but compared to the total cost extras aint that expencive.

So its commom with moderate engines and all the toys.
