I think its time for a bulbs-change

The plan is:

Silver indicators

Blue Sidelights (free from powerbulbs)

Cant decide whether to have bluevision mains, or bright ones.

Is the beam very "white" or is it blueish?

How much fun would it be to get a blue strobe behind the grille?

Powerbulbs are very good - I have blue-ish sidelights and the philips silvervision indicators on my fab

Cheap mod, but *you* will notice the difference (not gauranteed that anyone else will, though!)

I have the Blue Vision main bulb and side lights. Main beam is very white and the side lights do have a blue-ish colour however, main beam length is really no better than standard although it is brighter.

In retrospect I should have go the Vision Pluses.

I went for a bit of a tour through some country lanes last night to evaluate my headlight performance.

I dread to think how fast i would have to be going to out-drive my main beams!

However, if you go for a blue 'Knight Rider' look I will be forced to report you to a moderator.

I quite enjoy it when they do show up. Everyone chokes on their Horlicks, put their pipes down, kick off the slippers and wade in with reasoned argument. We're just so damned civilised on Briskoda.

....and that's why it's a nice place to be. some may say sanitised at times but, on balance, i think we've got it right.

Monkeyhanger, what precisely is your problem with "max power" types? You surely can't mean people who change their bulb colours, chip their engines, fit different spoilers, change the wheels, fit unfeasibly large ICE installs, tint their windows etc etc etc

Now, could you help me with a little puzzle I'm trying to complete? I'm sure you can as you appear to be such an eloquent man.

I notice that you avoid replying to the question as to why you dislike max power types so much. It was a serious question as after all, aren't they too enthusiasts who take delight in modifying their cars? Would you rather they went out TWOCing instead? Surely they should be encouraged, not ridiculed? Don't forget, we were like that once and look how we have advanced.

That was "we" as a group. I get the impression that most on here have grown out of the "wow lets put neons and a baked bean can exhaust on it" stage and now go for the more subtle, albeit more expensive, modifications.

So, you have never modified a car before? No bigger/wider wheels? No spot lamps? Never changed the head unit or the bulbs?

I disagree about what you call the max power brigade. They are a tiny subset, the yob element which is becoming prevalent in this country. I have no time for them. So you tag all people with modified cars as max power brigade? May I borrow your inordinately broad brush as I have a bridge to sweep (I think I may have a buyer for it)

No thank you, been on both (as a lurker) Vortex, particularly the Skoda section seemd dead and Cuprnet wasn't worth it as I had already ruled the Ibiza TDI sport and the Cupra R out for various reasons, hence I ended up here.

Apart from the above misnaming of yourself (for which I apologise and will retract if you so wish) I have been polite to all and have not used foul langauge, said your cars are shite, mine is better than yours etc.
