Speakers replacement - need help

Featured Replies

Hello! I'm new here and this is my first post.

I need help with an advice regarding replacement of the front speakers (those on the doors). I don't know if there's a guide for this around, tried to search around and didn't come to a result, so I decided asking you.

I never saw the system to screw in the speakers and I don't know if it differs from one car to another. On all websites I've looked, they don't classify the speakers by car type or something like that, so basically I don't know if the speakers I want will fit on my car.

Could you guys help me? This is what I found: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-w4UpVQLF2Ha/p_023GTX662D/Blaupunkt-GTx-662-DE.html

Also, if you think you have a better alternative, don't hesitate to tell me. Just got my driver's license a month ago and replaced the head unit, so I don't know that much about cars yet.

Thanks a lot in advance!

The stock speakers are 6.5" so those might not fit. You need to keep an eye on the depth as there's not a lot of room. My Focal speakers are 66mm deep and I had to slightly bend a bit of metal on the window runner to get them to go in.

Alright! Thanks for your response. Does anyone who's done this has any suggestion of speakers?

I seen a thread about some alpines speakers about 40 a set sorry i cant be more help

I`m replacing all of mine, and adding a cheeky little amp and a Mazda bass enclosure while I`m at it very soon. The speakers I have bought for the front of mine are Infinity Reference 6530cs component`s that have a mounting depth of just 60mm http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/infinity-reference-6530cs

Hope this helps
